For those of you whose pc is going through this game like a hot knife through butter :D
I was gonna download this earlier today, but I think I'll wait to see some screenshots before I do. I'm sure it'll look awesome though.
My gtx 260 plays fallout 3 on full AA and AF with ultra high settings it is more like a hot chainsaw through a tub of Flora!

I hate all these HD packs for games, i downloaded a HD pack for oblivion and it made the game look really tacky and grainy
The Oblivion LOD distance texture mod was spot on. Didn't try any HD packs though.
Does that make the textures on the hills in the distance look better then?
Because they look pretty poor by default
Yeah the Oblivion one sort out the long distance hills, and terrain. Did a great job on it.
Still addicted to FO3, been exploring the upper left part of the map found all these Sat stations which raiders had taken over and managed to launch some Nukes :)

No, just not played it much, was doing the main missions and got to the part where you speak to the radio guy just after you kill the supermutant
Don't complete main quest as it ends the game. I've not even started main quest yet want to complete every other quest first ;)

Concur.. I just happened to read that one in detail completely by chance - its probably the only one I have tho :lol: :lol:
i was close to banning forum pixie earlier for spamming lol never bother reading anything of it as my eyes just see spam when it's posts come up. :lol:
all you need to do is go to the news and announcments forum then go to forum tools then mark posts as read :P

When you complete oblicion and morrowind you can just run around doing what you want and completing any other missions youve not done
If you can find them :P
tis true, main quest ends game. My advice do main quest last. Side quests are of high calibre!

I had the oblivion hd texture pack on, was brilliant, just needed the hill fov pack, it cripples my card when i try it, i mean i barely get full everything as it is with HD pack and full gfx.

not been on since xmas last year
Just started up Fallout 3 on my 4870 and my system crashes after less than a minute
What the **** is wrong with this peice of **** graphics card!

Well ive sorted it out i think, did what... umm cant remember said, think it was nifty, i installed the generic vista drivers then the latest from ati
And now... im playing fallout 3 on full eveything 1920x1200... 60fps

I wouldnt go that far, ive been playing it now.... ive had to lower the resoltion but hey... i can play it smooth as a babies **** now
And its still awsome, always has been, i think the reason i wasnt liking it is cos i compare it to morrowind too much, it is in effect oblivion with just as poor graphics but different gameplay (not better)
At the minute i am up north kind of, looking for "the family", and i must admit im getting into it alot more now
But i need to stop playing so i can get some god damn work done before jan
