Hi,

Quick question, I have a two copies of windows XP here, 64 and 32 bit. Just wondering what the differences are. Which would you recommend for my new computer (Coming tomorrow)
1 x AMD Athlon 64 3700 CPU Skt 939 San Diego
1 x ECS KN1 SLI Lite socket 939 nForce4SLI
2 x Kingston 1GB 400MHz DDR PC3200

I know i can get the 64 bit drivers for the graphics card, would i also need a 64 bit chipset driver?

Also, what else would I need.

Thanks in advance,

Ben

You willl have to install 64 bit versions of ALL drivers for your pc, whether they be soundcard video card chipset or whatever else is installed on your pc EVERY driverwill need to be 64 bit as i understand it anyway. 32 progs might be ok under emulation but i don't think drivers work that way.

32 it is then! Although i shouldn't need too many drivers, i'll see what i can find on the ECS site, assuming they have one!

The drivers should be fine, if your board is 64 bit capable, they have 64bit drivers. ATI definatley have all 64bit drivers for cards. Older hardware is the problem with 64 bit. My monitor and second ethernet card both aren't recognised, but are old.
