Hello im currently running a Striker OC Gaming PC i purchased in march and ive begun to experience a worrying number of BSOD relating to a driver that after i googled; discovered it to be a hardware issue that ultimately can only be solved by replacing the card. The problem seems to have somewhat escalated quickly and im recieving up to 3 BSOD a day from this problem or related driver errors.

When not BSOD'ing my cpu constantly encounters errors in the only game i currently play on it (rift - somewhat intensive for an mmo but not in the larger scale of gaming ? ) Im under the impression that this is caused by failures with my GFX card also.

the driver blamed for these BSOD is nvlddmkm.sys

Nvidia GTX 550ti 1024mb GDDR5 graphics card

Im in no way a cpu guru and i would greatly appreciate advice on this matter; a hardware failure only 4 months after purchase seems somewhat disappointing to me.

Try 2 things. Reinstal nvidia drivers if that won't help reinstal operating system. If still won't help try run rift with integrated graphic card or borow one from someone and if that will help you its mean that your current gpu is broken

Hey, i forgot to add that i'd tried the removal ( via safe mode and driver remover) of nvidia drivers followed by re-installing the new ones but this seemed to have no effect, ill try the other option you said when i return home

I would check all your temperatures whilst under load.

a program called HW monitor can check all system temps or a program called MSI afterburner to just check GPU temps.

If the card is duff surely you should just be able to return it for a replacement?
