Well it was at 1500kb/s yesterday, But today its been timing out and just slow as hell.

lol im using a 10MB connection at the moment with Telewest but if i plugged in ALL 4 of my *SPECIAL* modems and put them on 20MB then i can say to you to stick a pipe in that and smoke it :lol:

80MB download :p :lol:

speedtest does my nut in tbh, i get the best ping from dublin, best dl from maidenhead and best uploads to london....

i get 10 down and half up tho or in real numbers i can download @1.2mb/s and up @65kb/s

you know that well known auction site if u look for Infinite flashed should come up with a couple of items ;) i recently obtained a 'SPECIAL' modem from there. :)

I go to http://www.eve-online.com/download/ and download one of their clients. They have excellent upload servers and I can easily download at my full 2MB/s (20Mb/s) when using a download manager such as "Internet Download Manager".

Best bit of software I ever paid for is IDM.

I have 10meg with virgin and when i do a speedtest i get 1200, and i can actually download at that speed

Below is the second highest I've ever caught it at (forgot to grab the link of the fastest, which was well over 110,000 down and 80,000 up.

Still, I'm hardly complaining...

The joys of being about 3 switches away from the UK JANET (education network) backbone I guess =D downloaded ubuntu the other day and thought the download was hanging, then realised the status bar was full not empty...

Yeah, I get the same. Recommended server is london, best ping is from Ireland and best speed I've found so far is from Russia..

I know this has been posted before but why not use the bbc's link and see what the difference is. we'll be able to see how accurate speedtest actually is.

Edit: The wired is currently hovering at about 65-70Mb/s

I just noticed my internet at home is 4 meg faster than at work :P
