well post some here then!
before and after zoom
dont always get chance to zoom out when I'm photting :(
I will see what I can do...
you have a optical zoom or digital?
its optical... but manual optical zoom :)
My fuji has this zoom ring which extends out of the camera as you zoom - very fast and accurate i find >>>

It may well be but you only get a couple of seconds to get a plane going past at 150mph just where you need it :)
I have the black version of this lens :)

Wasnt much, about a ton :)
100% of my shots are zoomed! Sometimes they're zoomed out as far as the camera will go though. With my hoverfly shot, that was zoomed in a bit, otherwise it'd do a runner (flyer?).
I've got a very zoomed in shot of some sunbathing ducks because I couldn't get close to them without spooking them, and I wanted them to fill a good percentage of the frame. Also the ground was marshy and I started to sink as I got closer. I'll see if I can find that photo.
Love the pic Col
i can't see the pic
I ment his avatar pic my bad for not saying that lol
:|
Mr Flibbles? I didn't take that.
Well I couldn't find a photo of the sunbathing ducks, but here's another one instead, taken at the same location on a different day.

I'll try and post it tonight

That one was taken in the carpark at the water front, such a nice little town Queensferry.
The Dakota is really nice, went for a meal there once.
Never had cause to stay myself, I only live 10miles away :D

Dog nose best!
Something's causing a bit of a buzz in my village today. At first I thought somebody was just watching the World Cup with the volume too loud, but then found these:
http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/130/027eoh.jpg
http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/1051/026wb.jpg
Linked because these photos are quite big, and it's not possible to appreciate the numbers from a scaled thumbnail.
Ohhh thats not good, assumed you used max zoom on that?

Of course! Hell if I was getting any closer! I was on the footpath that the hive was next to, but right back by the road!
One thing's for sure when construction is completed: it ain't half gonna be crowded! Maybe they're making cutbacks and it was just too expensive to make a bigger hive.

Zoomed right in for this one. I was back on the road which runs alongside the field, but with the camera's zoom at default you could see blue in the sky at the top, so I zoomed in to fill it with the intended colour in the distance.

And not really relevant to the topic as it's about zoom shots, but seeing as it's relevant to the above photo, I thought I'd post it here anyway. The same scene, from my mum's en suite window.

Nice firework shots woodpigeon 4. Got some around somewhere, not sure they are as good though.

xD, I can understand that haha.
Invest in a tripod for long exposure. definatley better images as a result.
I try the best I can to keep the camera still.
