View Full Version : Reaper ram
I got a set of 2x2GB reaper X pc 6400 ram for £30, i bet aria dont even get them in at that price, its rediculously good and they overclock from 800mhz to 1000 on 2.3v ram and 5-4-4-15 timings.

I've got my eyes on some Crucial Ballistix on fleabay, just been reduced from £30 to £20. :D
make sure the ballistix haven't been over volted they have a tendancy to die if they have, at least make sure you get some kind of original receipt if they are 2nd hand.

Thanks for that guy has 4 sticks for sale...
may just forget about it now.
Check the numbers on the memory if it ends in the following: -
804 = 2.2v
80A = 2.0v
Those are the rated voltages, to be fair crucial do seem to have a good rep for RMA's but its still a hassle to have to do it.
A quick google of ballistix failure will get you LOADS of hits.

hmm i think you've just convinced me to leave well alone,
perhaps i will buy a new 4Gb kit instead... for not a lot more
I think that maybe the wiser option tbh, i want a good 2x 2gb kit myself.

well If i go to another E-tailer (southern based) I can get free postage over £50 which can work out cheaper than Aria
there is also an etailer that offers free postage to its regular long term forum users

Yeah thats something Aria really need to do...
I cant believe how little i paid, now got mah 3.5GB of ram running at 1ghz and on 5-4-4-15 timings. It is a shame that these sticks are so hard to find they run brilliant.
not hard to find, impossible to find at that price
I have my samsung F1 and my OCZ reaperX ram installed, getting 1000mhz out of my ram and 5-4-4-15 timings. I also have 1TB of storage and a fast hard drive, need benchies now :)
ime quite happy with my
OCZ DDR2 PC2-8500 Reaper HPC 4GB Edition :P
straight away it was set too 1333mhz and runs like a dream and looks brill shame we have the windows not seeing most of it
