not expensive at all! considering slightly bigger 30inch costs over £1000.

and considering the a lot smaller, alot lower resolution 24inchs are around £400.

Would love that Dell but can't afford it. The Hazros are a bit cheaper but I'd easily opt for the Dell for the stand alone and the more industrial look.

What's the advantage of getting this over 3 x Dell 23" IPS Panels for the same price?

it is always supported. full screen TV programs/Films. less power consumption and not forgetting a lot easier to wire up/move.

eyefinity/surround is the same as Sli/crossfire: pledged by compatibility problems, great when working, sucks when not compatible.

single monitor, single graphics card: everything just works :D

Agreed, And i would always take a single bigger monitor with a higher res over 2 or more smaller monitors. If I could i would grab that 27" dell right now, but it would mean i'll need to upgrade my graphics to dual 6950's to get high fps at that res (all maxed out).

It's about the same anywhere you look, make 50 posts per month and you get free delivery. (excluding Superspecial's unless stated otherwise), works out to around 2 posts a day or something.

TBH, I've never used / owned a laptop before, but is a ~3hr battery life normal?

Yeah, pretty standard. You'll get more on netbooks, but for a full-size laptop I'd say 3 hours is pretty much typical.

I'm using one of those WD drives. Very good for that price.

I'm actually using it as my main drive at the moment, despite some people saying green drives aren't suitable as boot drives because they're too slow. It's complete BS, it boots the OS and loads games faster than my Barracudas :p

:clap It is worth doing this, plus the forums seem alright and some competitions etc! I know now where to hang about now for my pc bits!
