Ermm?
Are these the same sort of spec as the extreme 5850's that custom pc in their latest mag said were outstanding value at £113?

That is stupidly cheap

I feel the same way, it seams that everytime i buy something there are crazy deals on the next day.

Lol, I bought the Gigabyte SOC 5870 from you on Friday. Ah well at least i can add another 5870 at a later date :D

These coolers are excellent, I'm very impressed with how cool it keeps the card, 57c under load at 25% fan speed, crazy.

£250 on another site!!!

What does the OC bit imply? some sort of overclock from reference card?

I'm pretty tempted but was hoping for a sub £100 5850 and this comes in at £104 and pence delivered... if the OC bit implies that its like an extreme edition then that may sway it!?

it means that Gigabyte themselves have added a small OverClock onto the card fro u. it will perform slightly better than normal 5850's without the end using have to change any settings :)!

these are very good prices, especially with that awesome cooler !

Yeah, your guess is spot on. From the manufacturer code on the Aria page, you can google the Gigabyte site: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3354#sp

This shows the factory has made the GPU core on the card run at 765MHz as standard, as opposed to the reference stock speed of 725MHz :thumb:

Looks like a steal to me, but I have a better card again :p

Do you think this gpu would bottleneck my X2 555?

doubt it :)!
PII r good gaming CPU's, but being a dual core may hamper it in some games :(!

Hi mate, that psu should be able to handle that card, the cpu is probably going to be a bottleneck if it isn't unlocked, overclocking it to 3.8ghz+ would help.
