View Full Version : Pets?
Hi all!
Hope you are having a nice Monday!
Just wondering what pets you all have! I have a black and white cat, and a rabbit, and today we may be getting a Guinea Pig :)
How about you?
x2 cats, brother and sister. 3 years old.
we went to a cats and dogs shelter yesterday with the neighbour... we saw a brother and sister cat pair... if only we had 70 quid spare!
You know reddish? theres a charity shop next to wings and fins pet shop and the barbers. Every Saturday they give away kittens/cats to caring homes.

My mum runs a boarding kennels so weve always had dogs, and i have a lovely rottweiler and shes soft as anything.
Plus, she had puppies 3 weeks ago, 12 to be precise, only 7 made it though which does work out better. I know that sounds horrible but its only natural. And you should see them :P

She aint that big, only weight 6 an a half stone :P
She is the most affectionate dog in the world, she lives with my mum at the minute though, dont wanna drag her away from all her freind dogs :P
Having one or two of the puppies though, boy and a girl or just one
We were gonna have two and call them bishop and ripley :D

Drools....
Nah she looks only iccle, lol
Big dogs are ace, dead loving and great company.
Too true, and no shes not big, shes quite small for a rotty
So I see. my Neo Mastiff was about 14stone, and when on her hind legs she was about 5' 9" . I so miss her :(
would love another.
I ****in love mastiff's, there awsome dogs, and if you thing thats tall you should see borzoi's!
My mum breeds them and there well over 6 foot :P
Russian wolfhounds there called, or borzoi for short... dunno why
Mastiff's are probably the most loyal and lovable dogs i can think off.
Missy was only 2yr old so wasnt fully grown when i had her.
People see em and just fall in love but if you mess with there owner then kiss ur a$$ goodbye. lol
always remember when we got her we went to the shops and left her in the living room, came back and she'd re organised the room. the couch had been moved across the living room and the chair had been moved over.
she had demolished a 4week old £2k leather suite.:cry:
but she looked so sweet that didnt have the heart to tell her off properly (plus i kinda liked my arms ;) )
just never left her on her own again in that situation

Had 2 sister rescue cats for about 8 years, one tabby one black and white, the tabby dissappeared a couple of months ago :(, but the black and white one is still here :D
I not really a dog person but next door neighbour got a really nice yorkshire terrier... :D
Ankle Bitters, would have looked like a gerbil next to missy
lol yup, off to look at guinea pigs soon, then its meeting with boys teacher :S
guinea pigs are ok bought 2 when i with the ex for the kids, asked for 2 girls and got 1 boy and 1 girl..... u can guess the rest :(

funnily enough was looking at bros pics yesterday of his trip to Peru and the inca city.
Some of his pics were of the local delicacy Guinea Pig, he said it was tasty http://forums.guru3d.com/images/smilies/icon_smile_puker.gif
These are my two. Sally and Sasha, Shelties! They were brought up with my border collie Pepper who passed away recently. So they have grown up hardy and keen fell walkers.

How are they when left by themselves in the house when you are working etc? I heard bordie colliers need constant attention are these similar?

They are great in the house! I leave the blinds open and they will sit on the settee watching for cats and anyone passing. They will also curl up and have a good rest. They will do everything a border collie does but they do give you a rest in the house. They are not allways dropping a ball in your lap. Although they do give me a nudge with their noses if they think it is time I took them out.
Great little affectionate dogs.

One is smashing! Two is absolutely brilliant. They play together all the time. They will eat out of the same dish and share everything. They are best of mates.
Well, the guinea pig idea got scrapped, so we got another cat instead :)

What the other cats making of the new arrival? how have you introduced them?
There was a bit of hissing as the original cat has been in the house since we moved. The new one is settling in nicely. We tried to get them to meet in next doors garden but didnt go as planned as cat 1 ran off.
Cat 2 has been hiding a lot, probably cos he's used to closed spaces, but my girlfriend said he's used the litter tray and is now sitting on the sofa.
Fudge the rabbit... pic doesnt do her justice :)

It's been the opposite for me, the rabbit chases the cat :)
i have 2 kids, im not sure any pets would last long with them, maybe a turtle or tortoise as tehy have a shell which must offer some protection.

Cat 2 has had to go back to the sanctuary as he had a go at cat 1 last night for no reason, so we're back to 1 cat and 1 rabbit
