View Full Version : Freezer 7 and e8200 temps
Just wondering what sort of cpu temps I should be expecting. Currently between 37-39C
what you using to read?
my cores were alittle higher under my frezzer pro once you calculated the 100c tJ and are about 10c lower under a ifx-14/hr-10 combo.
vcore plays the biggest part tho.
Pc Probe II, it comes bundled with the asus p5q-e.
Download coretemp, that will show you the actual temps of each individual core.
Getting both core temps at around 30*C, that's with minimal load, varying between 0 and 5 percent. That's with the e8200 running at 2GHz btw.
Do those temps seem ok, I was thinking about having a little overclock. :P
Whenever I run a program it runs at stock speed, with temps of about 34.
Those temps are fine, go ahead and overclock it ;) keep an eye on the 100% load temps as those are the most important. Personally i try to keep to around 60cish max.
ok, cheers mac.
realtemp was wrong m8, not sure if they have updated it but it read a tJ of 85 and these 45nm chips should be read as 100c tJ
pcprobe reads the socket, use everest as you can set the tJ and also use it to look for cpu throttling under full load which is somthing to look for.
either way under better than stock cooling you will be able to clock it like a banshe, 4ghz should be easy if your mobo and ram are upto it.
once i hit 3.5/3.6ghz i really needed to start upping the vcore.
Really? I thought realtemp had been updated with correct figures - thats what i've been using too and its given similar temps to everest etc.. But if its wrong, i'll move to something else I think..
so did i dude, and im sure if you look back to the start of the year it was me telling you coretemp was wrong. truth is it was but it was closer than realtemp turned out to be.
well it was but we, well the overclockers, thought they had a tJunction that read from a 85c and it wasnt. intel have since come out and said that all the current 45nm chips have a tJ of 100c.
now some apps do it auto but everest (my latest beta) gives you the option of what tJ to scale from so thats what im ysing now.
