Wow, I was looking to build a budget gaming system for a friend and this will be absolutely perfect! Great deal!
Will that AM3+ mobo support any Bulldozers, or is it too early to tell?
Oh my god NOOOO!!!!!
This or sandy bridge!?!?!?
Oh my god NOOOO!!!!!
This or sandy bridge!?!?!?
sandybridge any day of the week
Given the price difference i'm not so sure anymore. Going to cost the 2 systems in gthe morning
Added after 7 minutes:
Wait, no..... its not a 975.
Shows how long its been since i really looked at AMD CPU's. Saw Phenom II x4 9xx and got all excited.
Thats a bit of an anti-climax now.

This is still a very good deal. Come August even the 975s will be super cheap because of Bulldozer.

Tempted to sell my 1075T and get one of these.
What's the multi?
Oh my god NOOOO!!!!!

If you have £300 for sandybridge why are you considering an AMD Quadcore that can get beat by an intel Dual Core??
What is the advantage of this 9xx CPU over the 840? For £5 more you get 3.2Ghz rather than 2.8Ghz, surely that has a big advantage for none clocking systems?

Pretty sure the 840 doesnt have any L3 cache.
The cache will be of a much much bigger benefit then the extra click speed

The 840 is just a rebadged Athlon II with no L3. This is a proper Phenom II. Those interested, I had one of these a 4.1GHz stable on a C4F.

What Vcore rawr? And define stable? Prime95 blend or stable as in it never crashed?
LinX stable. 1.525v on a TRUE Black.

LinX stable. 1.525v on a TRUE Black.
About the same vcore my 1075T needs for 4.1 :)
Although linx ain't the best as it drops load quite alot between runs

Didn't realise the cache made that much difference
Will this one compatible with my Asus M2N-SLI ?

What's the multi?
The multiplier is 14.
Maths not your strong point :p?
2800 / 200 = 14.

That's not bad at all, i had my 1055t at 4.2ghz with 1.52v.
Brilliant deal. So tempting to buy for a friend's build. :D
