my computer net went dead and i bought a powerline for it and it didnt work so im using it on my dads and it still wont work :cmd, ipconfig, on my dads laptop default gateway and connectrion-specific DNS suffix both dont come up with anything

the link/act and link come on and the act flashes but randomly apart from that nothing and it says on the software it ame with its connected at 70mbps but apart from that nothing

powerlines are helpful when ur dealing with extra hardware attached to your connection for example BT Vision, but i would just keep the old connection and troubleshoot that instead of investing in powerlines unless you don't have a choice

yes but the proble is that my old connection went that is why i have got powerline:exclaim

Are they on the same ring mains?
These things don't like jumping over a ring mains OR being plugged into a multi-gang socket. So if any of these is you....FUBAR!!!

you can configure powerlines on a gang adapter but you can't keep them that way

I wouldnt use powerlines if the internet connection has dropped in the first place...

Try removing your ethernet adapter from device manager and restarting your computer, using a normal ethernet connection

PC >> router >> wall socket :P

because my wireless broke down randomly im currently trying to fix that as well
