Damm that's expensive for 380w and only 80 plus bronze, they must be really really good.

Nice one mate, was wondering why you had removed them in the first place. Will you be getting the newer version of the X-series? X660, X760 etc

Was thinking the same thing, I know they are amongst the best if not THE best but those are some shocking prices from [s]Seasonic[/] $ea$onic seeing as the likes of Antec and Corsair as MUCH better value

These are awesome PSU's, beat Corsair ones by a mile IMO!

Well ok Corsair are cheaper and Seasonic based but if I had the money I'd pick Seasonic over Corsair :D

Aye, both work really well, both are quiet, both have good warranties but Corsair (along with others) are considerably cheaper.:scratch

Corsair don't use Seasonic as much as they used too.

02-06-11, 17:38
not that many corsair's are seasonic anymore...
in some cases they had first gen models made by seasonic, got great reviews, then changed manufacturer. can't remember exact details, but it's all over Johnnyguru forums.

Nice pricing plus 5 year warranty, just curious does http://www.nanopoint.co.uk/ still handle RMA for the Seasonic PSU's?

One of the extra benefits I like about the Corsair HX series is the 7 year warranty but not good on the RMA base being in Holland, if anything did go wrong.

Personally I would rather have a CWT manufactured PSU but nothing wrong with Seasonic.

Ouch on pricing even if they r seasonic :/

Corsair AX range (bar the 1200 one) is based on the X-series but it is not as quiet and there is a slight difference in components.

Seasonic are more expensive than Antec or Corsair simply because they are BETTER :)

seasonic = corsair = XFX ?????? :confused:
i don't know this.

Bit of googling suggests that most corsair have dropped seasonic and out source from elsewhere. Seems to me corsair have used there rep from reviews using seasonic then dropped them once everyone like us think they still use them so do really well and people recommend them. Corsair dropped there current CX psus as they weren't 80plus apprently so now they have the v2 out which is. Corsair have gone down in my mind.

Is either Seasonic or Be Quiet for me! Be quiet use FSP and Seasonic only.

Yea XFX use seasonic as the OEM...the black XXX editions see the reviews they are based on Seasonic M12D-850 which is why the XFX units are so highly recommended and rated in the reviews

Same Ice Tea - can't rate my X-650 highly enough. Completely modular, effectively silent (I've only ever seen the fan spin up when powering a GTX570 and HD6950 together) and beautifully made. Everything just exudes quality - if you can afford one, you won't regret it.

I know some of you have been saying it's too much, but this is a really interesting read if you want to see where your money actually goes: http://www.bit-tech.net/bits/events/2009/06/20/seasonics-engineering-and-factory-tour/1

I can't find the link but somebody over at silentPC ran a Seasonic at 100% full load for 24 hours without a single hitch or problem.

I wouldn't try it with any other PSU due to the cheaper caps they use.

If you guys find Me , Nick and anyother Seasonic owners looking slighty flustered and stroking our PSUs just ignore us as it's all part of being an owner. :p

Wow, only just read this Nick, thanks for posting. That's pretty hardcore, anyone who wants to understand why Seasonic have the rep they have should read it.

***UPDATE***

Some of the models are now EOL. Now revised our Seasonic products and have updated the OP with new models and prices!

Due Friday! :thumb:

Quite a difference in price between the modular and non-modular. Is that because the non-modular ones are EOL?

I'm almost tempted by the 620W Seasonic S12II-620 as that seems a very good price, but I'm always worried about cable lengths and how future proof (IE: me changing kit!) it is.

Removed all EOL products. Ones in OP are current.

They are surely amazing PSUs. My system is running crossfired overclocked and unlocked 6950s with an overclocked i2 2500k, and various other things and the fan barely spins. Absolutely amazing.

Everyone agrees that Corsair are good. Real PSU devotees know that Seasonic are the best. You do pay a premium, but if you want the absolute best, that's to be expected. Remember that people pay several hundred pounds for high-end motherboards; PSUs might not be quite as 'sexy' but in some ways they could be said to be more important, and they will certainly live through a few motherboard upgrades.
