From the little I've been told or read, the Dell is definitely the better monitor, generally with better response times. Somewhere on the Aria site - hmm maybe at the bottom of the LG monitor page one of the aria guys suggests it's worth the extra to upgrade to the Dell.

Not sure if you've realised the Dell has been discountinued? At least on Aria, not sure about other places

Dell use LG's panel etc apparently so it's exactly the same monitor

A panel still has to be driven and backlit, which is what can mean the same panel in different monitors can indeed make a difference.

Dell's is back lit and has an HDMI port over the LG or according to a post someone linked from the LG's reviews section, so nearly the same!
