Being a big Utd fan I was wondering how many British fans on here will be supporting Barcelona tonight.....
I think Utd will one goal tonight.

I'll be supporting Barcelona, can't stand Man United!
Although I cant stand Liverpool. Chelsea. Arsenal or City if they were the only british side left i'd have to support the british side.
Yes I'll always support the British side. I support Man City, but good luck to United, I hope they get the result.
I think it'll be a tight game and if United get their tactics right, they should win.
We started the 2009 final very well. Barca got their break and we fell apart. I just hope the ref isn't going to fall for all the diving and rolling about we all know Barca are capable of. It should be a cracking game a true Classico.....
Boy, I sure hope Rooney doesn't decide to elbow people in the back of the head again when the referee's not looking. :ninja:

I don't think antyone besides Barca fans & the man himself would mind a sly elbow, punch, kick & whatever else to Busquets.
I think maybe 2-1 to Barca, hoping for the other way around though.
I voted Barca but tbh i think its anyones game.
IF united play as well as they can and no one gets sent off they have can do it.
Equally though if Barca play then it'll tough for United to contain them i think.
If Utd play 5 in midfield, it'll be tight. If they go with Rooney & Hernandez up-top, it could be 1 or 2 nil.

Centre Back - Vidic
Centre Back - Smalling
RB - Fabio
Right Wing - Valencia
Centre Mid - Giggs
Centre Mid - Carrick

Not sure if Rio is fully fit he could replace smalling. Am hoping Fletcher makes an appearance later on.

I dont follow football but all my mates think Barcelona will win so they get my vote.
Barca 1 nil damn but as soon as the goal was scored the next two fair tackles the Barca players started rolling around. Was a good goal but hope they dont start their usual antics...

I think if you play the 2nd half like that you'll lose, giving it away too easily.
Came back into it for about 10 mins but really Barca should have at least 2, maybe 3.
They are not rolling around too much either.
Xavi should have been booked for waving the imaginery card. Only two or three silly rolls.
Valencia should've been booked then for repeated fouling, 4 fouls so far.
Valencia has just commited his first Actual foul on 56 minutes...

As I said I'm not into football, if what your saying is right that I am indeed a sheep then why, when all my friends watch and follow football (the most popular sport I know of) dont I? Am I less of an individual because I choose not to become a part of the group of people who are interested in a sport?
Surely with football being the most popular sport in britain (i think) then I am less of a sheep for making the choice not to follow the trend.
When he commits an actual foul he.ll get booked. Alves was a professional foul. Likewise Carrick deserved his booking

Obstruction as a result of utter clumsiness and incompetence still counts, he should have been booked already.
Like I said when he actually does something wrong without a Barca player hurling himself to the ground like he's been hit by sledge hammer at the mearest of touches.
Barca deserve their lead but players should not be asking for fellow professional to be booked...

A Messi dive, Valencia can't cope and hasn't all night he just pushes him over really.
Anyway Barcelona have clearly been the better team and deserve the win, they stopped playing at about 75 mins away.
Barca have been the better team but that was a 50 50 side by side challenge. Barca started dirty tactics soon as they hit 2 - 1

Busquets commits a foul and still rolls around on the floor shocking play acting even though they deserve the win.

I predicted 3-0 Barca, looks like I wasn't far off. Man United have been chasing shadows mostly. I thought Fergie said he had learned the lessons from 2009, but plays Giggs and Carrick in midfield again?

We will have another chance next season as we are in the competition again. The best team on the night won and to give them credit didnt dive to much
We might have seen a different game. ManU was LOST all over the 90 min (except the 1 min. when they scored).
Cannot respond to that in a gd way so not going to.

Barcelona played football, ManU chased shadows - the on and off the ball movement of Barca was great to watch. Ref got the game spot on in my opinion.
A great spectacle of football though. Barcelona 68% possession!!

Wasnt biased as stated Barca deserved their win. They created and scored three chances we scored one thats football. If its as one sided as the biased Utd haters think then it would have been a higher defeat. Barca were better but didnt totally outclass Utd by any means

You said United matched them, which they didn't, not by any stretch. If that was United with those stats against another team you wouldn't be saying "they matched us for most of the game", that's for sure.
So sad the anti Utd hate mob. At least as a Utd fan I can admit we were beaten by a better team. If Utd had won no one would be posting anything in the way of congrats....

can't really comment we lost badly, they deserved it, put me in a mood to slap some english barc fans though.

Apart from when he couldn't control the ball or got tackled.
Barca were the better team, not gonna dispute that. I just wish the refs this season would have been willing to treat Messi like everyone else & book him for his fouls (mainly against Madrid).

If you're wanting to find reasons why players should be booked. Rooney should have been booked for "dissent by word or action" multiple times in the second half, as should have Valencia been booked multiple times for "persistent infringement of the Laws of the Game".
And all this "diving", go read Law 12. Holding, kicks, trips, or even attempts, are deemed offences. Going down means the referee can't play advantage. Again, all in the FIFA rule book.
Pretty much a training match for Barca that! Thought it was going to be a lot closer or even Utd to nick it.
I won £180.50 on this match from a fifty quid bet, chuffed!

After scoring his first goal on english soil he was always getting man of the match. Messi is undoubtably a very very good player no one can deny that bit last night apart from his goal and maybe another one or two runs he was quiet. Vidic kept him quiet and stopped him all night apart from the goal and about midway through the first half. Its sad that there are so many english fans happy that the british team got beaten so much utd hate its laughable.
As I have already said Utd deserved to lose the game Barca were the better team. How many haters would have said well done utd had they won the game. My guess would be none and everyone would be they only won beause of this decision or that decision....

Stop being a blinkered fan Urko, Messi ****ed all over the United team for about 80% of the game, United just resorted to fouling him, especially Valencia! Barcelona didn't even have their main defender and captain playing, and you still couldn't threaten their goal, apart from the 1 admittedly good goal (although marginally offside) Utd scored.
Don't argue with Urko, it's pointless.
United got done by the better team, it was always going to happen.
The noisy neighbours will be mixing it up with you lot next year and De jong will have Messi in back pocket...if we don't sign him!...bubye!
Quick question: Why would any other supporter of an English club want Man Utd to win?
I could understand if maybe England was outside the Top 3 in the UEFA coefficients, but the fact of the matter is England are not. There's no worry of England & Spain dropping out in the next 5 years (maybe even 10), because the two have such a humongous lead.
So with no extra European places up for grabs through the coefficients, a supporter of any other Premier Club should want Man Utd to fail.
Why? Because if Utd win they double their prize fund. If they double their prize fund, the cycle of Man Utd dominating in England goes on. They can afford to spend more in transfers, afford to pay more in wages, afford to attract the world's best on current achievements, rather than on history. That's how the traditional Top 4 came about, and no one wants that.
Now I don't support any premier league team, and I'm more of a Rugby man anyway, but did the Man U fans support Liverpool when they won it????

I had to check the team sheet this morning as i thought messi came on as a 25th minute sub. Utd were not good enough second half last night...
Werent good enough first half either mate.
First eight minutes they were good and rooneys goal but thats only 10 - 15 mins max that man u were any good at all.
Almost forgot guy at work won 600 on this as he got pedro to score first then rooney to score. 1 - 1 at half time and 3 - 1 finsih on a ten pound bet.

I'll be honest when Liverpool won it against Milan I was out with a bunch of Scouse fans so yes I did support them during their win. Likewise next year if city get to the final against a foreign team I will support them.
