Hi im planning on getting a new pc for uni And am sort of new to building one.
Only requirements my tutor gave me was to run newest games
This is what ive got so far

the cost so far is £1016.66 and personnal i would like it to be cheaper
so please can you help and tell me if its all compatiable and if there are any cheaper alternatives i can use

You can save yourself a few quid by replacing the 9800gx2 for the 4870 http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Graphics+Cards/PCI-E/ATI+Radeon+4000+Series/Sapphire+Radeon+4870+512MB+PCI-E+2.0+?productId=32345

maybe even swap the quad for a dual core...

You wont be able to fit any aftermarket coolers to a 9800 gx2 as it is encapsulated in it's own casing

thts good and it brings it down to £915
but since i forgot the op system whats better vista ultimate or premium and im guessing the 64 better

definately get 64bit as you'll be getting 4gb of Ram.

I'd drop the Maxtor HD for a Samsung F1 1TB. And maybe look at a P35 Motherboard instead of an X38. Would probably save you a bit, and wouldnt really loose you any performance..
