I have this 24902 and it worked fine on my old Asrock 939 dual vsta board, windows gave all the slots a drive letter etc but now I've changed to a q6600 and p5n-e board the usb port works fine on it and windows sees each slot on the reader it just won't assign a drive letter even if there is a card in the slot or not. I have tried to manually give them drive letters and still won't work. When a car is in the slot and you go to disk management it sees the drive and tells me what capacity it is and thats it.

It connects to a usb header on the mobo and is all connected correctly and it's now starting to bug me :(

Does it all work other than having a drive letter?

If it doesnt have a drive letter, it wont show up in My Computer, so there is no way not access the cards.

I gave up and used some free vouchers I had for a south american river and bought an external reader instead

windows didn't give the external reader any letters either..so after messing up my registry  then repair freezing on 34% I managed to get back into windows and after much searching found out it was down to SPTD.sys file being old and an update of daemon tools installed a newer version..hey presto my reader now has drive letters assigned :)
