View Full Version : Headsets and not enough different stock.
The selection of headsets above £10 is pretty slim, I had hoped to buy something like the Creative Fatal1ty Pro Series Gaming Headset which is at the £20 mark.
As it is you have a huge gap between £10 and £45. Do you really need to stock 5 different kinds of headset for under a tenner? Nobody cares about a headset that much if they are going to be that cheap about it.
Stock one at a couple of quid and one at a tenner then expand you range to include some £20 and £30 models to bridge the chasm between £10 and £45.
And another thing (while I'm off on one now) I can't buy a fan controller and fans from Aria, I cant buy a headset, and the GigaWorks T20 speakers I was going to get have now been found at the same price as Aria but free delivery, so thats £9 cheaper.
your not the only one going elsewhere for things not in stock m8 :(

certainly not, the free delivery offeres take some beating, nearly a £10 saving is a lot of dosh... thats a couple of pints ;)
If I could have bought all that together from Aria then I would have, but I can't justify £9 postage for a single item like speakers. So I'm buying nothing.
I heard that up north £9 might even buy you THREE PINTS! :O

lol, highly likely
You've clearly never been to a cumbrian working mens club....
£9 for 2 pints would be extortionate, and nobody would turn up for £3 pints either! That's about right for most clubs.
£9 will get you up to 5 pints (£1.80/pint if you get to the right place early on in the night), and almost always 4 (well, £9.20 @ £2.30/pint) of house lager. £2.50/pint is considered expensive, and I'd expect a very minimum of 3 pints for my £9.
That's what you get for living in the uncivilised south lads.

"The bread and butter business of a pub is its straightforward beer. But the average price of a pint in the Carlisle area is £2.50." and where I live is cheaper still :)
We basically pay London prices in Cambridge as lots of people live here but work in London. On top of that land is at a premium because of the University owning half of it. Higher rent means higher beer prices. :(
£2.90 Is probably considered about right for Cambridge prices, there are some cheap places like Wetherspoons, but thats where the council estate residents go :P
Do aria have any USB headsets with stereo or surround sound and a mic?
Hard to tell, the descriptions are rubbish.
Thats what i thought, i was hoping someone who worked at aria could answer, but nevermind :P
unfortunately the purchasing department rarely comes on here :(

or answer their emails :(
true true... still waiting on an answer for forum improvements that I sent a week or so ago :S
I dunno, us valued customers get nothing.
All we ask for is fan controllers, good headsets and cheap monitors! and what do we get :P
EDIT: i was only joking about the monitor bit... i must say the monitors on aria are cheaper than most
how do you feel about us? we have to work with them day in day out!
What do you mean how do i feel about yous?
well if we dont sell something you can go somewhere else... we cant go anywhere if we need purchasing to do something.
and I dont think yous is a word... :P
Ha ha, whatever!
I know exactly what its like though, we have people higher up than us, (as in any job)
And you cant ask them to do anything
If i had been here longer, wore more "apropriate" clothing and spoke clearer i would be higher up in the job, doing NOTHING!!!
but purchasing arent any higher up than me or mr NFT99... just work in different department
I know exactly how you feel jon, I worked at play and the buyers were a bunch of jerks.

Sounds about right :) is it a requirement for the job??
They seem very self involved, like their department is the most important and everyone else is below them. Which is total ****.
