i did RAID 0, performance raid.,

Had a BSOD in a game. System tried to run scan disk to recover and failed.

As the data is spread across both drives lost EVERYTHING

the speed incease which is minimal at best isn't worth the headache and risk.

Get a fast x2 320gb platter HDD if your on a budget

or a velociraptor if money is no object.

I thought you were selling the 4850 to buy a 4870? Would be cheaper than crossfiring.

aslong as you backup often, which you all should anyway, an array crash will never be more hassle than ghosting a drive image.

i love raid, and tbh cant see any reason not to do it, would you run your ram in single channle? but you wll with your harddisk when it can be quad channle or more??

I use a RAID0 array for the OS, and then a 2x500Gb 1x250Gb and 1x200Gb drives all as standalone drives for important data. :)
