I've been looking at the options for a set of speakers with two inputs, simply have got bored of moving the 3.5mm jack of the current speakers from docking station to KneeBridge™ ;) machine.
The Corsair were on the list oddly, along with some rather funky looking other ones that I shan't list, can believe my luck at hitting new posts when I did !!!

how many years does the mushkin 115gb ssd comes with? the aria page says aria warranty only, 1 year. Does it mean the mushkin don't have any warranty? their website said 3 years tho. :confused:

A bargain is only really a bargain if it's something you actually want. Good deals here but I didn't buy this time, saving my pennies for another day. No doubt there will be more good deals in future.

I feel that, a lot of people were just a bit *****d they didn't get one of those awesome deals, that's understandable, these sort of deals don't come around a lot, and tensions can run pretty high, however, I'm sure once everyone realised it was for charity, you have to hold your hands up and say "Fair play Aria", It's nice that for once, "Big Business" was helping those who are worse off.
To those who missed it, so what? surely the fact that you even witnessed something as beautiful as this charity fund raiser is enough to make up for a bit of money you lost?

Good. I absolutely agree with you. afterall , it's business. and even better, they do charity and does give out these bargains at cost.
A lot of the moaning people do forget the daily competitions that Aria do. It's usually £50 a day so a minimum of £1000 per month they are freely giving away.

A lot of the moaning was primarly focused on the server problems and outages and not at the type of sale or how quickly things went. So I think it would be bad to keep bringing up the fact that people moaned. What's done is done. But you have to make the mistake first before you learn from it. Victim of your own success, so expect quadruple numbers instead of double, especially when it gets advertised so well. :)
I'll be keeping my eye out for the comps and bargains, still in the market for a potential SSD and I'm after a sound card and new speakers.

Cheers to Aria for offering a second round after the unfortunate sluggishness this morning; that said, to have so many people bombarding the site shows just how popular you are and I've always had excellent service and prices from you lot at Aria HQ. I missed out both auctions but hey it happens.
I was rather lucky because the first time I was waiting scouring the forum thread that seemed to have 15+ posts a minute at times when my uber boss walked in wanting something. Thank the lord he doesn't know what a 'net forum looks like or they may have been words and I might have got a slapped wrist!! :thumb:

but its not even cost they're giving the stuff away all proceeds going to charity which is why i was getting wound up with people complaining as well as that aria himself is doubling the amount raised, lets not forget that he has filmed the show which means he'd already of payed out a chunck to some people in need.
well done to all involved it may not have gone to plan but for me its the thought behind it and the work that went into it all which i think alot of people seemed to ignore or brush aside.

Rawz(Aria) thank you for this post and decision. Unfortunately too late for me, I really would have liked to have spent my money here today. However this post and response to your customer's concerns is a major reason why I will continue to come here first for my computer hardware needs.

I really enjoyed the build up to this, especially the epic thread. Whilst I couldn't get anything it was fun trying. Thanks to Rawz and all involved it killed a lot of time on my day off.

I did a search "millionaire" and got managed to add several thing to my basket....I presume they will be withdrawn tomorrow? If they went in the basket and I've paid for them - am I legally entitled to them? Even if there is no stock?

I'm planning on water cooling so the Corsair was out, I got 8GB Ram from the blue site for a good price (not great, but good (which is what I was originally after)) and the PSU was just too big in wattage for my needs.
Congrats to those who did manage to get what they wanted though, it was, and is, a great idea of arias to do this for charity but in hindsight I think it could have been better planned out, still you can't blame them for the server outage, there was just too many people wanting limited stock and everyone banging F5 just overwhelmed the system.
I'll still buy from aria though as it usually has what I want and at lower prices too, plus I've been a customer of theirs for over 10 years, no need to look elsewhere just because I couldn't get what I wanted yesterday, like many others, I'll wait to see what's on offer over the bank holiday weekend :D.

Sadly not, the terms and way payments tend to be taken protects businesses against this.

Isn't there a grey area if the money has actually been taken from the card? Usually the actual money is not taken until the part is picked so it's unlikely that it would be honoured, though I have seen the Aria guys honour the odd deal after it's closed.

That's why they tend to hold the payment on the card. It is like checking you have enough credit, reserving it on the card, then sealing the deal when they confirm back to the bank they are capable too.

yeah he probaly would. Am pretty sure its his fault its gonna rain down here today too.
I was a bit gutted that I missed out on a SSD in round 2, however, I got it in my basket, and just wasnt quick enough.
Was just happy I at least got to see what was on offer this time :)
