Hello and welcome

My Pinnacle came with driver Cd only.

You may wish to upgrade the HD3850 for an HD4850.

I would get a Samsung F1 1TB drive, faster and cheaper.

Why the firewire/usb card? Choose a motherboard that has these already. (I haven't checked if the one you've picked has Firewire (all modern boards are usb2)

To Lynx, Wonderlust and Jonwoad,

Thanks alot guys, for the speeedy reply and all :P.
changed to the samsung f1, and ditched the HD3870 for an HD4850.
ditched the firewire usb thingy, cos the mobo I got has it on already.
Are there any downsides to 64bit Vista (never been down that route)

Thanks again guys!

re vista 64... if you want to use all the memory that you plan to get then you'll need 64 bit as 32 bit wont be able to use it all. this includes graphical memory if I remember correctly.

with 4Gb of ram you don't really have a choice if you wish to use it all. XP will allocate various things out of your 4Gb like the graphics ram so if you've a 512mb card the maximum xp can use is 3.5Gb...

The drivers are pretty well sorted nowadays, although some older hardware is not supported so well.

With your system you should be fine.

Yeah, I use Vista64, and not really had any problems with it apart from not being able to get drivers for a wireless USB dongle, but managed to find one that worked anyway. Takes a little bit of getting used to, but its not bad really. :)

Apparently the 7200 overclocks like a rabbit on speed (which overclock superbly).

That case looks like a mini fridge though, what about a sexy antec?
