Theres simply not enough choice, I see one fan controller with a limited selection of fans to choose from.

I wanted to get all these things along with my speakers so I can justify £9 shipping.

you cant get fan controllers off aria can you?

Theres one. And there used to be several.

It's such a pain because I'm getting speakers from aria but the postage is £9, so I want to make the most of that and buy a few more items to justify the postage.

I have wanted to get a fan controller for some time but I also need to replace my fans because they don't have the little 3-pin connectors, just big 4pin molex :(

I know exactly what I want: a BLACK fan controller with control for at least 4 fans, it must have turny dials, I hate all the digital ones that are trying to look like car stereos, I want retro!

Fans must be 120mm blue LED with high airflow and the 3 or 4 pin small connectors to connect to the controller.

Aria's selection is very weak in comparison to competitors I have looked at :(

Im wanting a fan controller too for my pc (7 case fans in total), not found one on aria yet, whats the quick code?

Its a pathetic excuse for a fan controller in that it only controls cpu fan:

I got the aerogate 3 when that was about, controlls 4 fans, and shows 4 temp sensors and everything.

I need something like that and i want to buy it from aria, and obviously they dont have them.

Maybe someone should mention this to Mr Woad

I was looking at a black zalman zm-mfc1 plus on the bay of e.

It has SIX turny dials of retro cool. It is exactly what I want.

I'm also going to buy replacement 120mm fans for my case.

Anyone have some suggestions?

I have that fan controller in silver to match my lian-li case and its very nice. Pretty basic but there was no point in a screen for me as i can see the bloody thing anyway!

Instead of writing something down on a little peice of paper, you should tell the product managers that there is a high demand for fan controllers.

It would be a good thing for aria too, the more products in one place, the better, thats what i think anyway.

Alex what you reckon to this?

dials, blue glow, retro style, one molex in to power it, x4 3 pin fan male connectors for fans. (includes adapters for molex fans)

Installed on in my coolermaster 590 when the Asus smart fan started to irratate me!

Works a charm.

That looks ok but the 3.5" size of it means that I would have to do something a bit interesting with my antec 900 in that I would have to use a special grill.

The molex adapters are great though, it would mean I don't have to replace any of my fans. Would mean I end up with an even more cluttered case though :(

the coolermaster have one of the 5.25 bays plates with a 3.5" pushout, do antec not have a similar thing?

I've hidden all the wires behind the mobo tray and ziptied them in place :)

Will get some pics up later

It does look nice, but ive always wondered why they find it hard to have more than four fan controls, i want 6.

HDD fan, bottom fan, top exhaust fans, rear exhaust, side intake, and cpu

jonwoad

I would keep your cpu connected to your motherboard or it may not post as it needs the fan there!

Monkey
10-09-08, 09:21
Some boards do post without the fan needing to be there

jonwoad
10-09-08, 09:25
not many, and it's better letting it manage itself

Since your top exhaust fans will most likely always be set to the same speeds, on the 4 dial fan controller nothing stops you adding two fans to one connection, so one dial does both exhausts! :)

also CPU I would too always connect to mobo, for general use it quietens it automatically and when I stress it in games I can't hear the increase in speed. Wouldn't like to rely on me remember to turn it up either as its the main fan which if running too slow could damage the expensive CPU. eg. i may not realise i'm stressing the CPU in a photoshop job etc and leave it on lowest speed LOL

Monkey
10-09-08, 09:46
Thats a very valid point, and i was gonna put the three top exhaust fans into one fan controller but like you say, i may aswell add all 4 exhausts into one, and then have the HDD on a seperate one, and have the bottom intake and the side fan on separete controlelrs so yeah 4 will do :P

Now all we need is for aria to buy some in :( And I should imagine that by then I will have caved to impatience and bought elsewhere.

To get 6 fans it would need to be in a 3.5" bay as you cant fit 6 pot's in a 2.5" bay.

I have my CPU fan connected to it and just leave it turned full up as its quiet anyway.:)
