I currently have a ASUS M2N-E mobo and I'm stuck in whether to move to a Intel based system. On one hand I was thinking of getting a AM2+ (yes I know the asus supports it but wont run at its full speed) mobo and get a Phenom or on the other get a P35 based mobo with a Core 2 Duo cpu. I do enjoy the odd game and I dont consider myself a serious gamer! So the question is would there be a valid reason to go Intel? I've heard the quad core Intel kicks the Phenom into touch, but does the speed debate make the Intel to go for? I already have 2gb of pc6400 DDR2 and recently bought an ATI Radeon 4850 which will work ok in any system wheter Intel or AMD I believe.

Would spend up to £80 on a mobo and around the same again on a cpu.

Help :)

Well IF you decide to go Intel and Quad the cheapest quad is the Q6600 and when it's on Super Special it goes for around £105 inc vat +P&P.
