The other day my Gladiator Precision PC had a strange error upon startup, it said something like "Windows cannot start. Now scanning your system for errors..." After it had scanned my PC and found no errors, it started up properly. But when I went into my computer properties, my Intel Core i3 540 processor was no longer overclocked to 4.2 GHz. I know I would have to go into the bios to change settings and stuff, but how would I go about overclocking my system again?

Aria should have saved the overclock settings to a profile (in fact there might even be 2 copies).

Simply find the overclock profiles bit in the BIOS and load the Aria settings, save and exit :)

gigabyte boards always revert to defaults when the OC isnt stable
this normally happens the way you have described

that said i have had an OC runnig for months then all of a sudden its reverted to defaults like this...

your OC profile will be stored in the BIOS all you have to do is load it up

With these sorts of things, it is also good to give some indication of conditions running up to the problem, it might help Aria to ensure it doesn't happen regularily on OC'ed systems.

For example, environmental conditions, say the AC was not working causing increased room temps etc, or if the power was fluctuating (lights surging dimming) or if the power might have failed.

Attach any error logs or dump logs you may have that could shed light on the issue

All good info and can sometimes help a lot.

Glad to see your sorted though
