Hello

Trying to sign up for the Dreamspark 123-reg student hosting but I don't have an ac.uk email address
How can I get one?

Regards

They are supplied to you by your school.

I'm in high school and they said we couldn't get them, it sucks I know.

Best ask your Head of IT and if he says no make a proposition about getting your school on the Dreamspark project.

Normaly threw your educational place.
My college internal email is it, although I never notice it (due to emailing just to usernames) I know that mines username@student.nrc.ac.uk.

If your place has email it should be .ac.uk when the email is out full.

Or possibly .sch.uk if its a school and not a college or uni..

Out of luck then :(

HOWEVER when I tried Dreamspark I used my school login, @leedslearning.net, and it worked.

Thats most likely because you don't live in the USA... Where do you live? I'm not sure you've ever mentioned it?

I'd say if you go to a private school at the age of 14, you're highly unlikely to be able to get a .ac.uk email address..

I have a dreamspark account, its dreamspark hosting that needs a .ac.uk email address

I have mentioned it before, Guernsey, Channel Islands

Close to the uk.

I thought they were emails uniquely for Uni and collage?

I remember my High School had .ac.uks, they didn't start giving them out until after I'd left. Although I got one early for student-y stuff as I'm "well-connected" ;)

Oh well, nevermind. I contacted 123-reg (the hosting company). You never know, they might be able to do something

Thanks for your advice/help

I doubt 123 will let you have one. I think they're aiming at University students, rather than anyone studying at school/college/sixth-form.

College made us .ac.uk emails for the ultimate steal deals. :)
