Hi all I have a treat for you

Here is a complete build log of our Viper System from start to finish.

This is the Viper's Bill of Materials document (B.O.M). This is what we use to check the components are correct for the build

http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0052c.jpg
Another little trick i do is attach the 3 pin connector for the side fan to the front fan's outer rim (there is no interference with the front fan doing this)
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0058c.jpg
Notice the DVD drive bay has a gap at the side when the plate is removed
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0064c.jpg
This is how it looks with a drive in place
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0065c.jpg
The HAF932 comes with black stickers for this purpose and attach like so
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0063c.jpg
Now the drive is in place with the stickers attached to both sides
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0066c.jpg
The HAF 932 comes with 4 USB 2.0 ports however the GD65 only has 1 header so i have to tuck a cable away like so
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0068c.jpg
The case cables are now being tidied along with the DVD Sata Data cable
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0071c.jpg
These are the the working USB 2.0, USB 3.0 and Front panel sound cables

The Kingston SSD out of its box
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0072c.jpg
Now attached to 1 of 2 provided SSD carriers
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0073c.jpg
The 1TB Samsung F3
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0075c.jpg
Now attached to the removable drive carrier

As i'm only allowed to post 30 images at a time i will have to split the thread.

Here's the rest of the Build Log

The PSU out of its box and ready to be assembled into the case
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0077c.jpg
Now attached with the many cables protruding through the back panel
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0078c.jpg
This is our build tray that we use. Once the build is complete this is emptied ready for the next one so that we only use the screws and fittings for that particular build
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0079c.jpg
The PSU comes with 4 6+2 PCI-ie cables the 2 additional attachments are tied back as we don't need them for our braids
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0080c.jpg
The 2 PCI-ie cables now with their braids attached. We also do this with the 24 Pin ATX and the 8 Pin 12V cables
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0084c.jpg
Two of the PCI-ie cables are not required so i tie them then tuck them behind the PSU like so
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0082c.jpg
The Sata Power are in place and the Molex cables are tidied away with just one being used for the side panel fan
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0086c.jpg
The DVD drive now with all it's cables attached
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0087c.jpg
The inside of the case is now coming together with all the cables in place for the Motherboard
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0089c.jpg
This goes with the job lol

http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0109c.jpg
The back panel now fully assembled and all cables in place
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0106c.jpg
The inside now fully assembled
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0107c.jpg
This is all the accessories, manuals etc that we include in the motherboard box which the customer receives
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0111c.jpg
A build label is then attached to the Computer's underside with the Builder's initials, Date of build and Order Ref. We also attach one to the outer box
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0112c.jpg
Back Panel now re-fitted

Now for the Testing

It Lives!!!!!

The EFi Bios screen
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0119c.jpg
The Overclock has been set and now we run Memtest for a few passes (note the Overclock and Memory timings don't show up correctly with the Sandybridge CPU's???)
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0121c.jpg
Windows is now being installed
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0125c.jpg
Now comes the real stress testing
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0131c.jpg
The Crisis game Benchmark we use to stress the Graphics card (The blurriness is because the image is moving very fast!!)
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0133c.jpg
After a cold boot back into windows the computer is now packed and ready to be despatched to it's eager owner
http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad283/Brains1969/Aria%20Build%20Log/IMG_0136c.jpg

Hope you enjoyed reading this and it gives you an insight into what we do here at Aria :thumb:

That was awesome Brians, thanks!

Just a thought but wouldn't it make more sense to cable tidy once you know it's all working as it saves wasting time in that event and having to snip a load of cable-ties off. Or am I missing something?

Or are you just that good!?

:D

Is it really bad that I see all those cables and I just want to sleeve them??

xx

Thanks for the kind comments Lisa!!

The Computer has to be fully built and cable tied for the testers. If there are any issues (which unfortunately do happen now and then) they are responsible for sorting this out. We have to go onto our next build almost immediately :).

This is awesome.

Whats the turn around for these? in terms of time it takes to build one machine. I'd imagine it gets streamlined after a while.

Thanks again for the encouraging comments

This type of build could take about 1.5 - 2.5 hours. There is no streamlining as such as quality comes first in all our builds no matter what the cost. The time varies amongst the builds we do depending on the amount of components and amount of cable tying involved. :thumb:

Wow Brains that is so cool! The cable management is completely different to mine. It is tidy! lol that must take hours
Well done :)

Is the replacement fan you put on the back blowing air from outside the case, through the aio rad and into the case? If so, is that so it can use cold air rather than warm air rising off the gpu and then it can be exhausted out a top fan?

Nice looking build, those extension cables make a big difference. :thumb:

Amazing Brains, you're extremely talented with PC building! Top job as always.

Do you always install Windows on each bundle/system to stress test then format? OR how do you do that? I know some PC's don't come with Windows installed.

On this build the rear fan is drawing air in as the top fan will be used to exhaust

If there is an overclock on the build then windows is installed from an external source. If Windows is included then it will be installed as standard

Hey Brains that's some nice work and it seems like you take a lot of pride in doing it, and doing it well :)

Must be nice to get your hands on all these components, just a shame you don't get to take them home at the end of the day :'(

That haf case CPU cutout looks like its in the wrong place, or is it just my phone being a pain?

:S You make that in 2.5-3 hours? It takes me like 6 hours to made a computer xD.

I must admit I am rather jealous of you guys at aria building computers for a job handiling hardware all the time. I do like me some hardware.

also... nzxt cables? -_- hate them personally.... overall amazing build quality none the less.

Yeah I know what you mean, before sandy(i am not too sure about now) they had a bad reputation at least in the forums I use to operate in. Mainly for always ending up dead.

I do agree MSI's gpu's are top notch, they look and perform fantastically.
