Hi guys.

Im going away next week and im taking my laptop to use the net on my phone.
I can connect for £1 a day for 15mb of bandwidth. With pictures turned off thats alot of pages!
But i need to monitor that traffic really. So im after a free bandwidth monitor that can monitor different connections. Bluetooth, Wlan etc.

Anyone use one they can suggest?

Cheers

I used to use DUMeter for that exact purpose. It used to do everything, but i've just looked and I cant tell if it still does - it says it monitors all network connections, so it sounds like it should.

Its not free tho unfortunately, but it's only about £12, I think.. Might be worth a look :)

Seems to be ok but i cant get it to show my total bandwidth used for this day. It only shows the current page size. I have to look at another window to see my total bandwidth used whereas i want it on the page im looking at.

Tried them both but still not what i want really.

I want it so simple. I want to cap the download to 15MB and then it tells me or drops the connection. Done...

DU meter is nearly there but i would like an online running total of my useage.

DUMeter does all that for you im sure, it can create logs of howmuch you use each day/week/month/year

And im sure you can get another program that will stop you downloading more than 15mb, cant think of a name off my head though

Yeah, you can create all kinds of statistics with DUMeter.. I couldnt tell you how off the top of my head tho, as I havent used it for months.. But its definitely possible! :)
