RE Patriot 2gb 800 kit.

Ok being the noob overclocker I am, I set the memory to 1066 in the bios, prior to that it was set to AUTO and on bootup stated 800.

It now states 1066 on bootup and cpu -z reports better fsb as well.

Is there anything else I need to change or has this done the trick?

Voltage?

and is that memtest stable? If so you're quite lucky to have got a recent kit that clocks that well.

got the memory about 9 months ago from original Patriot batch so it should be good stuff :)

Will run memtest and get back to you.

i'm 99% the volts stay the same in CPUz whether I set it to 800 or 1066

Aye, assuming you've had it set to 2.1 or 2.2V from the start, you're fine.

Patriot should remove the EPP of DDR2-1000 on their RAM. The new stuff with the cheaper IC's just can't do that.
