View Full Version : Help with charity build website
Hi, anyone here any good want to donate some of their time in designing a website for this charity build im doing?.
I'm hopeless at doing web pages and designing and stuff. I have the webspace tho.
Please if you wouldn't mind donating a little time to such a worthwhile charity cause, then please let me know.
Count me in! What do you want done?

I'll sign myself up.
I can do some nice designs, I'll not be super active though since I have exams etc.
Cheers mate, well at the moment, we have no pics of the rigs, etc as they not made, or even got the bits yet, but a picture of a nice gaming machine now would be good, and the action duchenne logo maybe somewhere, http://www.actionduchenne.org/
Also some room for a list of donating companies etc, and general info of something like ;
We are building PC's to auction off / maybe raffle off, with proceeds going to action duchenne charity, to help find a cure for muscular dystrophy. etc etc.
Hopefully one will be a gaming machine, another a low end gaming / office type machine, and maybe other items we can sell to make money for the charity.
Also maybe a donate button or something?.
Any ideas, let me know please.
And thanks for the offer toonshorty, glad you can help, and good luck with your exams!
Hi,
Just a quick one to say I'm working on this - you'll see a working prototype online by tomorrow evening/friday morning and I'll email you the URL for the prototype. I hope to finish it by Wednesday perhaps?
Also, does your hosting package have PHP?
oh cool mate, thanks, the more help the better :), and yes it does :)
Got hosting thanks to mrnothersan and mrnhosting, so still need help on the site designwise.
Will get my initial FTP'd this evening - will PM the url when its up.
k thanks mate :). then can start getting donations for this charity properly, cant do much without a site right now sadly :(.
As i needed a site up quick to get companies interested into donating for this great charity, i registered http://charitypcbuild.org.uk and put up a temporary page (told you i was no good).
Should use wordpress mate, dead easy to use and simple to configure.
i'm thinking of going that route to be honest, just need a good theme made, or a good theme to download?
I'll help ya, just gotta gather some money for ya domain, LOL
even easier, office365 from MS is free at the moment, gives you a nice SharePoint site that is an absolute doddle to configure.

Holy thread revival!..
yep i've revived it!
Anyone available to help out now then? its getting urgent.
cheers
