View Full Version : Windows Vista US Prices Revealed
According to A****n.com, they are taking orders in the US for Windows Vista. I don't know what the prices will be here in the UK, but hopefully they will be similar.
Vista Basic - £106 ($199)
Vista Premium - £126 ($239)
Vista Business - £157 ($299)
Vista Ultimate - £210 ($399)
Those prices seem very attractive for a new OS release. Don't forget OEM :)
I think it looks quite pricey to be honest, especially when you consider the Basic copy will be next to useless.
Lets just hope the OEM versions are cheaper, as I can't use the Vista upgrade versions, just because :)
Been mentioned in the Vista Questions thread.
But prices seem about normal really, your paying for a piece of software that will last you.
Looks really nice IMO. I would consider getting 'Ultimate' if I have the money. :)

I found these pre-order prices from a retailer site.
Windows Vista Home Basic
For entry level uses who just want the basic features and functions
£154.99 inc VAT
Windows Vista Home Premium
For the home users who want productivity and entertainment at
home and on the go
£184.99 inc VAT
Windows Vista Business
For small and mid sized businesses and organisations with simple
IT needs
£250.00 inc VAT
Windows Vista Ultimate
Combine the top features of a work and home PC for the best
windows experience and exceptional security
£325.00 inc VAT
I wouldn't expect prices to be that high.
Probably some dodgy site, hoping people order it at that price.
If it isn't then

Its that wonderful world of high street retailers.
The retailer is not dodgy and they will sell at the official price. Their retail packs of XP are the same as anywhere else.
