Installed the 11.## and It just does not boot.


Any one know a fix?

I was on my 3rd reinstall when I posted :P

After 5 it seams to have stuck :thumb:

v11 still isnt fully stable yet, i would recommend sticking to 10.10 for now. You probably will also find alot of packages still arn't available for it yet.

usually this is due to not all drivers are implemented etc.

mint10 is a nice alternative if you're after a solid gnome distro. it's also based on debian/ubuntu

If you want something similar to ubuntu then crunchbang #! is a nice lightweight distro based on debian.

I've installed 11.04 a number of times and not had a problem, I kept on reinstalling in my failed attempts to get my TV stick to work until I discovered that there's still no support for DVB in the drivers for it.

But maybe your problem is installing the boot manager, what did you do when it asked about installing to the hard drive? I always choose to select the drive and partitions manually and have had no problems after that.
