Can't say I ever had much time for Novell, having dealt a little with Netware in the early 90s.
This sounds ominous however:
Completion of the sale was contingent on the sale of a portfolio of 882 Novell patents to a consortium, CPTN, whose members include Microsoft, EMC and Apple.
More patent trolling inc, I suspect. Sigh.
Funny how Apple is getting more like microsoft in it's competition practices with every passing day.
