View Full Version : broken phone (contract)
Hi guys,
My phone is broked :( so I need to get it fixed. It is under contract from Orange so I guess I need to call them.
What do I do in the mean time if I have to send it to be sorted? i do have a spare fone but not sure if it's unlocked...
How long would they take to fix it?
Grrrrr... thought I had insurance, was told I had insurance, but I dont have insurance so I have to send it off to Nokia for them to fix it :(

About a week or 2
Take it to carphone warehouse, they will repair it and bill orange :)
I'm going to send it to nokia by free post... using my old D600 in the mean time

hmm, what if it goes missing in the post?
I was going to try sending it thru s**tylink so it's insured. Might send it recorded actually... hmm

I don't use a phone!
which spv?
C550. I had a C600 before that but that went walkies during an expedition. My Samsung D900 before that got screen corruption. You can tell that I'm lucky like that..

that a shame i have an HTC Wizard (same as spv m3000)that has a broken charge point, so the screen and keyboard are ok, but not any good for you, sorry.
Bummer. No harm done I guess. It's upgrade time again and I'm looking at the SPV E650.
I'm not going to upgrade next time it's due, going to cancel contract then get PAYG

not bad, I prefer the full screen smartphones, depending what comes out new before i am due my upgrade, I am looking to upgrade to the O2 Stellar (HTC Tytn2).
I quite like them too. I just can't warrant anything quite as big. It's mainly used as the phone but tend to prefer windows based smartphones as I like the synchronising software.

I have used an ipaq for tomtom sat nav for some time (since v3) and having a smartphone meant not having to carrry 2 devices :D The mini S I had (htc Wizard) was just about quick enough to run it, the trion (tytn1) is plenty fast enough.
I wanted an XDA but could never afford one at the time :(
