I have issues at 3.42Ghz. After about 5-6 hours it just restarts. No reason. No hotter than when first started, nothing different done.

Holy JEEBUS, you think they ran the core directly off the mains to reach that speed?? :O

funny things can happen under a triple stage cascade with 1.9v running to your cores :D

1.9v aint funny, don't care how cold the cpu is i seriously doubt it will run for long at that speed.

Whats the world record for 24h prime stable?

i have seen a few wolfdales doing 4.6ghz+ prime stable but im not sure if it was 24hours+

for a wr all you need is it stable long enough to validate the cpuz tho, i think jb runs that speed for bench runs tho, check his hwbot scores, him and jabski are the best in the uk.

"Update: As has been observed, the processor used in this test was a Core 2 Quad Q6600, with two of the cores disabled by the team in France. This configuration was used in order to hit the highest frequencies possible, rather than to yield a fast and usable system."

That's just stupid then, because they haven't overclocked the whole thing. Unless they overclock the whole processor, why should it count?

Unless I could leave it on and (bar a power cut) still have it running in 6 months, and offers significantly better performance than stock (2 at 5100 isn't much more than 4 at 2.4 each... so in theory it's barely faster - with the right software), it ain't an overclock I care about.
