Confused about this:-
• Recommended Resolution: 1920 x 1080 @60HZ

Is this the same as max res ?

nice price for a 21.5" touch screen with full HD. good idea on the stand for use with laptop and the stand seems to be able to do a wide angle of tilting, unfortunately not in other way. I'll search for some alternatives to compare.

I have an AOC 19", it's alright, German company but made in China of course.

Nice price, might be fun to play with multi-touch on a PC, sadly I have a 3 year old boy who's obsessed with cbeebies games at the moment. I'd have to wipe off a layer of chocolate and jam every time I wanted to use it :P.

How tough are these screens, beside the chocolate and jam, could they survive kids using them?

Comparable to smartphones really I guess. Using yes, banging on with Lofty from bob the builder, probably not so much.

That's class, really good price too. Don't think I'll make this deal but might have to add one to the wanted list

I had one in my shopping basket and then I did some research and saw that AOC bills it as "designed specifically for notebook owners". That's not what I want. Could be a bit on the "lightweight use" side.

With luck this will be the beginning of declining prices for touchscreen monitors.

I Googled it and it seems to be a sort of netbook/Laptop accessorry.

Well it's a perfectly standard sized monitor, the only reason they market it as a 'netbook accessory' is because of the stand design, which would allow you to place a laptop in-between the two 'legs'.

Can't see any reason why that would put someone off buying it for regular desktop use though, personally. It's a 22" LED multi-touch touch-screen monitor, the type of stand is pretty much incidental I'd have thought.

AOC have designed the stand that can be used for both desktop and laptop so its suitable for all users. :)

Because it may not be designed for the same use cycle.

If it is the same as a standard screen, then they need to rethink their marketing literature.

The description "designed specifically for notebook owners" does not say anything about the stand being what makes it an accessory for portables.

Fort anyone who is interested, more details here: AOC Europe. (http://www.aoc-europe.com/no_cache/en/monitors.html?useCacheHash=1&showUid=2)

Got to say that whilst it does look nice I cant really see the point for the average user/gamer? is there anything 'killer' about touchscreen monitors?

I would have thought it means you need to bring it closer to you too?

Although in a media build I guess it means the mouse / keyboard can be 'lost?'
