Cheers :)

I'm actually addicted to these little kingfishers now. So much so, I've been awarded a licence to photograph them as they're a class 1 protected species.
Pity I've yet to see one since getting the licence

Ah so you are one of the privelidged few, i did know you needed a licence to get within so many feet etc of them, or something like that. Keep 'em coming Paul, always like to see good pics from a fellow togger :thumb:. Ashamed to say i haven't actually been out since i got back from my holiday recently :(

Wow. Have seen one on the river near me. He flies under the bridge often and can be seen standing on rocks in the middle of the river.

Saw two on one walk last year. But way too fleeting to snap.

That is a serioously good photo.

Might be worth a few bob.

Great photo.

I see one quite regular at our local river. It's amazing to see them at work.

Thanks for showing us the picture... great moment :) We have a Kingfisher chasing us alongside the kayak when we train in the canal from time to time... makes our day each time though.

Hehe great photo.

I love kingfishers. Always used to see them when I went fishing in my teens. It's incredible when you see them strike, just a bolt of blue in and out of the water so fast you can miss it.

They are territorial aren't they? I think territorial birds like these are great because you start to build up a personality in your head. Robins being a classic example.

Nice photos RedPaul!!

Not a photographer but I can appreciate a good shot (I think :) ) Lately been fancying getting a reasonable DSLR or something to take some nice shots.

Edit; of course, you can have the best camera in the world and you still need someone who knows how to use it, but you have to start somewhere :)
