View Full Version : RMA: Send back motherboard question
Hi, First post so apologies if in wrong place!
I need to send a motherboard back as it seems to have died. Got an RMA but am a little scared as I can not find ALL of the little bits and pieces that cam in the package and as good lady has "cleaned up" the garage!
Does this mean that I am wasting my time? I hope not but do not want to waste time and money sending something back if they are going to charge me cos it is missing manual or driver CD.
Can anyone advise?
Your best bet is to ask Aria by calling them. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it but you best check rather than risk being billed postage and testing fee.
Dont worry about it, we get them in all sorts of conditions
Any chance my Patriot RAM has appeared at Aria Jon? :)
should be in todays lot which hasnt appeared yet.
There should be an RMA thread where we can nag the admins about RMA's :P
Used to be one but i think it got overran with complaints... you can always pm me :)
I really hope to never have to PM you. Touch wood.
What does RMA stand for anyway?
Returns Merchandise Authorisation or words to that effect
It's good to know that there's someone on the forum that doesn't mind being asked about RMA updates. Really helps the service.
Its part of my job lol, they get booked in, i test them :)
Hi, would you mind checking the status of this RMA please?
I need to get the system back on its feet.
RMA212661 (it should have arrived on Friday)
I have eamiled but go an auto response.
I tested it and it is faulty but it has had to go to manufacturer which means it could be up to 28 days until it returns
This has become a bit of an RMA thread so I'd just like to add.
RMA'd my ram to Aria last week
Received on Thursday
Tested and Confirmed faulty on Friday
"Shipped" notification on Saturday
New RAM in my PC on tuesday. Nice and speedy, good job RMA dept!
How many meat pies did you have to send along for that kind of service? :P
We dont do meat pies here lol... cans of stella maybe
Oh sorry, thats my hometown's delicacy, meat pies and coal.
Ok how many cans of wife beater did you send along?
Hehe. I think there should be a 3rd payment option:
Will Hurlimann do?
prefer lager :) not sure about the others tho
it is lager! :D
i'd say that was more beer?
I'm most impressed by the ability to send half a can without it spilling - I'm guessing it wasn't by royal mail?
How does RMA work? While we're thread hijacking. If I send something back, what's the minimum, average and maximum times known before a new/repaired component is back with the user?
Eg if it can't be fixed within x days, a replacement is sent?
Nope definiatly lager, makes stella seem like water :D
lol i'll give it a go one day!
As for turn around times, it depends on the age of the item, how it is sent back, and how busy we are... the maximum is 28 days from the day we get it, after that you can request a credit.
If its within a few days it can be in, tested, and out the same/next day.
