As a Leeds fan it's always nice to see United fans suffer!
Well done to City though, Hart and Toure had a great game... I'm over the (blue) moon for you :D

I just hate Man U and most of there fans!

One of my best mates I went school with plays for City so I cant help but prefer them

A dull first half which Utd should've led.
But City were better 2nd half and the 2nd half was great to watch from a neutrals point of view.
Scholes challenge made me wince!

Berbatov shouldve scordd but man city were clearly the better team.

City played well a deserved the win.

Haha Balotelli such an idiot :D

So much potential there it would be stupid of him to waste it. City deserved the win. Apart from the opening 30mins they were the better side and Scholes can have no complaints about being sent off.

UrKo

Balotelli should be banned for inciting the fans as G Neville was previously. De Jong kicked Nani in the face but faced no action. Zabaletta also went in studs showing but received no action. Was a harsh red for a 50 - 50.

Carrick doesnt deserve a Utd shirt and never have. Well done to city, as much as it pains me to say, you put away your one chance where Utd squandered chance after chance. Hart was inspired today. Truth is showing you can BUY trophies.

Utd have the champions league and the EPl to win so its not all over yet.

Haha, like United players gracious in defeat eh?

Balotelli? you lot(players, fans and manager) have been rubbing it in everyones faces for years, I was suprised this week actully..usually you have the assortment of United players coming out and goading the opposition, only thing I caught this week was Wio going on about sulkers lmao ironic eh?

Go take a look at De jongs alledged kick on Nancis face and tell me that's wasn't accidental? purlease.

And let's no forget what a fantastic tackler Scholes is, maybe it didn't warrant a straight red but it was late, it was high and you know they are given?

Also buying trophies? you lot should know you've been doing it for twenty years or was all that money you *****ed up the wall just my imagination?

But hey I understand you're just not used to being on the other end, but you want to start to learn to deal with it as the glory days of the United dominance and Sky4 are coming to an end, the aging squad? the aging manager, the hugh mountain of debt, ticket prices up 100% since the Glaziers take over? hahahaha

Edit: Yes United fans have a knack of pressing my buttons and I should have just /facepalmed like I initially intended so any offence caused I apologise, I just can't let delusional hypocritical fans have a pop without having one back :P

COngrats to city. It was actually a good match, city were the better team in the second half.

What happened at the end though? Why was Rio on the warpath with Mario?

UrKo
17-04-11, 07:45
De Jong is probably the dirtiest player in the Prem. Nothing he does is accidental. Just look what he did to Ben Arfa?

After watching the replay this morning while sober, Scholes deserved his red one of the prems best players of all time but among the worst tacklers ever. Utd very rarely spend huge on players. Rio, Berby, Rooney, Veron most of the time its home grown or very little spent a la, Nevilles, becks, giggs, butt, Hernandez was cheap.

We missed our chances nuff said.

Rio said this...
@rioferdy5
Rio Ferdinand
If u score a goal+give a bit to opposing fans I kind of accept that but at the final whistle go to your own fans+enjoy it not opposing fans.

Thats what ticked him off

UrKo
17-04-11, 08:15
Neville got a ban for doing that season or two ago because he plays for Utd. Watch Mario get away with it because he doesn't play for Utd.

El Wayneo
17-04-11, 08:20

I dont think it would have been a big of an issue if it wasnt a derby!

Discusting to hear Scholes was the only Mancunian on the pitch though, not exactly a "Manchester derby" anymore :|

Did Adebayor get a ban when he did it to the Arsenal fans?

I was fully expecting Utd to comfortably win after the first 30mins but that chance that Barry had seemed to push City on. Dont know why they cant play like that more often given the talent they have in the squad. Hopefully it wil have knocked Utd's confidence a bit for Tuesday when they play us although they will probably come out and hammer us :D

UrKo
17-04-11, 13:51
Think it will have the opposite effect mate. Rooney coming back after being screwed with a two game ban by a Man City fan at the FA. Utd will look to put this blip to one side on Tuesday

GJF47
17-04-11, 13:54
Yeah that and us not having any strikers fit its gonna be an easy win for your lot I think :(

At least Tiote be back

Yes he did and no Nevile Nevile's son got a fine but let's just forget that as most of Uniteds lot do, bunch of sanctimonious hypocrits.

Looking forward to them getting turned over by Schalke on Tuesday and see what scapegoat they look for there.

Rooney coming back after being screwed with a two game ban by a Man City fan at the FA.

Sounding a little paranoid there, but then again, just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean someone isn't out to get you

It was a good game, even though only one goal. Just hope City can be more consistent, and actually win something. I can barely remember the last time.

I can barely remember the last time.

I can't either, I was about two months old, but still here and still bitter(massively)

Just off to watch the Stoke v Bolton game, both sides are going to be tricky, think Bolton are the better side, but that's not always the case, Just glad Sturridge is cup tied if Bolton get through, ex-players have a habit of scoring against us :/

UrKo
17-04-11, 15:30
Not paranoid mate was actually documented both on skysports and in the papers one of the main men that instigated the ban has strong links to manchester city.

Good luck to city i say when the fair play with the funding coomes in city will have to curb their spending as they will not fall in with it. Along with chelsea they both dont make the money that the ruling requires. The rich owners will get bored and they'll be back to square one.

Lol, I remember that comment. Is it really a derby then? Football these days is a sorry state with no loyalties!

Krusty
17-04-11, 15:50
Yes because pumping millions upon millions into the city and local community is a bad thing and taking the profits overseas is terrific.

And the FFP is super, let's just keep the status quo going forever and not let any "smaller" club have a chance to dine at the top table ever again.

"Not paranoid mate was actually documented both on skysports and in the papers one of the main men that instigated the ban has strong links to manchester city."

Yes that paramount of virtues and morality that is Sky and papers that are probably Murdoch owned, hahahahah...

Anything to say about the extra 1:30 min of the 4 minutes of extra time last season? ohh right that was added on for the goal celebration? nah not "Fergie time" or the fast tracking of Adebayors punisment just in time to miss the derby? nah the FA hate United....

Oh well i least i saved the £40 the ticket would have cost me :( + travel, very overpriced pie or burger :( the poor midfield showed up again! Scholes last game for Utd? I here he is going to be the tackling coach.... for a NFL team :chairfall:

Lets see if United can get back on form on Tuesday in the league....

UrKo
17-04-11, 20:22
The league will be Utd's. Champions league maybe. We could beat Real in the final Barca be to much. But then again it won't be an English referee so anything would be possible.

Would be nice to see Ballotelli banned after his antics but seems to be being overlooked.

You still crying? or did you not read my post about Nevile not actully getting a ban and just a fine?

But best you start to learn to deal with it as it'll be more of a regular thing in the future and they call us bitter...

UrKo
17-04-11, 20:32
No need to be crying but he should be banned for what he did simple as. Adebayor was, Neville was lucky I will guarantee this Balotelli will escape without punishment. Utd are the most successful in England and will be for some time. FA have a new rule coming in regarding the income and expenditure. Utd have this covered already. Where will city be then. Stuffed just like the products their owners are producing.

Krusty
17-04-11, 20:43
What you seem to forget is it's just not City and Chelsea who will struggle to meet this, there's a hell of a lot of clubs that won't and don't you worry about us if you actully lived in Manchester you would know of the plans our owners have in place for re-developing East Manchester and the money that will generate.

Not forgetting the ability and business acumen our owners have there's ways round these things also like the FA and UEFA and the goverment are going to try to block that kind of investment in these times of economic uncertainty, yeah sure

And yes Man United are really secure financially, lmao..

Talk about can't see the woods for the trees.

UrKo
17-04-11, 20:46
Utd are making a healthy profit while the glazers pay off what they need to. Utd are within the percentage of income against expenditure and are one of a handful of clubs who are. City and Chelsea who are not will be struggling.

Krusty
17-04-11, 20:58
Are I see you're a WUM no one can be that clueless can they? go tell that to the fans who actully go to OT and paying 100% more than they did before the Glaziers take over or the totally insane cup scheme where your fans are forced to buy cup tickets.

And no United are not making a healthy profit because any money they are making(Glaziers) is going into their pockets and to try to prop up their failing property empire in the states, for crying out loud your last sponsor AIG was partially responsible for the economic world crash in the first place, giving out mortgages to people who couldn't afford them and never could, yeah you got some really successful sound businessmen running the club....

UrKo
17-04-11, 21:00
I beg to differ there. We will never see eye to eye on this. Having a season ticket puts me in the bracket of people who go to OT though doesnt it?

Krusty
17-04-11, 21:09
So you were at Wembley yesterday then? and you're a season ticket holder and you're actully happy about paying through the nose to support your club?

And yes it's look like we won't agree so maybe you stop having a pop and I won't have one back?

UrKo
17-04-11, 21:12
Wasnt at wembley no, unable to travel due to having a knee operation. I am happy to support Utd and always will be. Wasnt having a go personally just cheesed at certain decisions against Utd recently? Apologies if it seemed that way.

I understand there are rivalries between teams but does every thread about football have to descend into a rivalry thread (usually ends up being United vs City or United vs Liverpool).

I follow United but City were the better team and took their chances, so congrats.

Join the club, we have our fair share of FA coming down on us, like for example the Adebayor incident last season season, people seem to forget the two footed lunge Van Persie did on Ade before he raked him, which I'm not condoning in the slightest.

Or the witch hunt over Dejong tackle on Ben Arfe, where no one actully complained on the pitch at that instance and the manager said it wasn't malicious straight after the match only to change his tune when outside forces started to whine and which to this day I say wasn't a bad tackle just an unfortuante follow through that couldn't be avoided, momentom is funny that way.

Just accept it wasn't to be your day and maybe be happy with the fact that you're still fighting on a couple of fronts and the Balotelli incident talk about a mountain over a mole hill, for a start there isn't actully any footage that I seen he was any where near the United fans or infact taunted anyone at all, maybe he said something Mr Anderson and had a cheeky wink at Rio, but even if he did that's for the officials to make a report over, another thing Van Persie did at our ground last season but was conviently missed, however Rio got his ******** in a twist, be thankful he's showing some fight for his team maybe if a few more showed that during the game it might have been a different story.

You can't win em all.

marsey99
17-04-11, 22:52
I guess after today's result man u fans might actually be right when they claim to be the most successful team in England.

Meh, lets see how long it takes them to win 5 times in Europe as its only taken the series of bad managers and owners for Liverpool to fumble it away and let them catch up.

R1gg4
18-04-11, 09:42
ManU are a shoe in for the league, they're being given it by other teams who do not show the same will to win as ManU do on a week to week basis.

Barca will win the CL, almost odds on, they are incredible at the moment. What impresses me most about them is their work without the ball, given they are the some of the most talented players in the world, they run their socks off.

Man City have to be hopeful now of an FA cup win, Stoke bought their A Game and Bolton didn't. It's unlikely Stoke will repeat that in the final.

I've got a funny feeling Schalke might just win the whole thing, sure Barca are the best team left in the competition but the way Schalke played in Milan against Inter suprised me, I was mightly impressed and if Stoke play us in the FA cup final like they played yesterday gonna be one tough game.

nft99
18-04-11, 12:15
Schalke have been suprising a few people in the champs league this year, a revitalised Raul leading the line for them and they are well behind in the race for the league so will go all out for the European Cup. Utd's record in 2 legs over German teams is VERY poor

City more than capable of controlling the more direct football that Stoke sometimes use and might just sneak it :( could finally be time to take down the banner

Krusty

It's actully been pretty close between us and Stoke since they came back up and it would be like City to blow it, but I'm not even trying to go there.

Yeah 25k each, tis a racket nearly a 1/3 tickets going to folks who ain't even a fan of the two teams compeating! :/

Me and my Uncle are thinking of going down and trying to get hold of a couple, I really don't mind paying 2 or 3 times face value, not like were there much but I'm still considering as the cost of that one day could get me a season ticket so we'll have to see, if we have champions league secured I'd probably go for a season ticket.

From all accounts it was a good day at our ground though with the square we have and food/beer stalls there, so have to see closer to the day. :D
