Well, ive been bugging people on here for a month now, and i did build my system, but forgot to put up a log, but here is what i did ( shock horror )

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y141/gavbon2004/Build%20log/HPIM0338.jpg

As you can see, i made a right mess of the cable management....so i thought.....ild get more fans, and do the job properly this time

so here goes

New fans and clear sata cables purchased yesterday

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y141/gavbon2004/Build%20log/HPIM0340.jpg

Box with spares and my GTX460 1gb cyclone

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y141/gavbon2004/Build%20log/HPIM0341.jpg

Started gutting my case out, so has my mobo, i5 2500k chip, CM212+ cooler, and a few of my fans still installed

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y141/gavbon2004/Build%20log/HPIM0339.jpg

Found a gap and re routed my PSU cables through it, to behind the back plate, took some time sorting the mess i made of it the first time, but worked a treat

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y141/gavbon2004/Build%20log/HPIM0342.jpg

Installed the 2 x 120mm fans in the top of my case, thought i might aswell fan the whole system up

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y141/gavbon2004/Build%20log/HPIM0344.jpg

Installed my fan controller purchased from Sarky!, thanks again mate

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y141/gavbon2004/Build%20log/HPIM0345.jpg

GTX460 installed, and ready to start doing my cabling, oh god!

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y141/gavbon2004/Build%20log/HPIM0347.jpg

PSU cabling phase 1

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y141/gavbon2004/Build%20log/HPIM0348.jpg

Phase 2 of my cabling including drives etc

Trying to neaten out my cabling

My first proper build!

Feel free to be critical about my cabling, im new to it, but if you compare the top photo to the redone, youll agree its 10x better, as in my review, i didnt find the case easy, and a couple of cables could have been longer

but thanks for reading!

hope you have some dust filters on them fans ?

2 x top ones have filters, front one has a filter

rear one is expelling air, and side one hasnt got a filter that i know of

is that a big problem?

i have 240mm rads on the bottom and the top of my case and the bottom one gets totaly full of dust but the filters do their job and gather it up.

Looks great mate, nice to see my fan controller actually being used and not sat in a box :D. Out of curiosity, did the LED's work on it? Just noticed that 4/8 pin CPU cable, you should be able to either run it behind the motherboard or under the graphics card near where the PCI brackets are, if that makes sense.

Only thing I would improve is your photographing skills :P

Good job for your first time trying to manage the cables. The more times you do it the better you get and you'll notice little ways you can make it better :thumb:

Very nice mate, much better cabling :D :thumb:

Tip from my last build... the cpu power cable I was able to route underneath the front of the gfx card... between the pcix slot and the edge of the board next to where the monitor cables plug in :ninja: ;)

Might be worth a shot :)

A tip I read here which seems to work is to use "Flowers" mode on your camera when shooting inside a PC.

It helps to reduce the blurring that makes some of these a pain on the eyes.

macro . .
If you said that to most people they would have no idea what you were on about. Symbol is a flower so come on, easier to understand :P

"no what it is" "bit thick"

Ho ho.

People who understand "macro" will probably understand "flower". The reverse is not always true.

Lesser cameras will not refer to it as macro. They have the flower symbol.

Flashier cameras may say macro. But in that case macro may well be closer than you want.

Another tip is stick a post-it note over the flash, works like a diffuser to make the flash less harsh

looks good mate :thumb:

u have done well considering the case doesnt have the best cable management options :(!

try putting the cpu power under the graphics cards like so...
