Camcorder

I don't remember if I posted before or not lol. I need a camcorder with as high resolution i can get within around 500 pounds. I dont care about any fancy buttons that makes the camera convert into a flying transformer, I just want to record at as close to 24p as possible, and maybe a small zoom function. I prefer cameras that allow me to hold in more than one way, EG on the sholder or underneith, rather than infront of you.

PS: and firewire capability, but of course a camera today without it is quite pointless :p
ALSO must have external XLR microphone input :(!
