A mobility Radeon 4650 or equiv I'd say, a 5650 to be sure. For nVidia maybe something along the lines of a GT335M or equiv.

Agree with Sarky. Don't neglect the CPU either. Supcom2 is better graphically optimised than Supcom1 but it still needs a good CPU to handle all those units. Generally speaking the more cores you got, the more units you can have at the same time :)

Yeah, an i5 or i7 mobile should do the trick. I would avoid the AMD cpu's though. I saw an Acer laptop with an i7 and 5650 graphics and a 1TB hard drive for about £650 not so long back.

You'd avoid AMD for running Supreme Commander 2? My AMD quad eats it. One core at about 90%, two at around 30%, one barely being used. GPU at around 80%. All settings maxed at 1920x1080, solid 60fps with vsync on :p

That is in a desktop though, I've never really tried gaming on a laptop...

I meant the laptop version of the AMD quad. 1.8GHz speed, 2mb cache I believe. Its pretty much a heavily cut down Athlon II x4, the i7 eats it for breakfast in most aspects, even power consumption - at a laptop level I mean.

Heck, I have an AMD quad as well :D

Heck I have an Athlon II X3 with an 8800GTX which plays Supcom 2 on medium settings without problems.

Laptop CPU though? I'd go Intel :p
