Screen Res? Does it have a TPM. Is the HD 1.8" or 2.5"? Has a slot for Sim Card but does it actually have a 3G Modem.

Anyone want to swap one for a Booklet 3G with X18-M?

These should have a 2 year warranty? Mine certainly does!

Best laptop I've ever used, and I've used 20+ models. £20 cheaper than last time and you get more for your money. Mine doesn't have bluetooth or 3G :/ :(

God damn i want that bad but yet again i cannot stretch to it, really need to build up some savings <_<

How often will you be stocking them, can you not just keep them around since they seem very popular.

they are old stock that Asus no longer do/make, we get them on deals whenever possible, the last time was 6 months ago and if we have bought everything that was availiable on this deal - just under 50 pcs - I doubt we will get any ever again to be honest :(

Argh so annoying it's the cheapest 13" around, all others i've seen are 450+, i don't want a 10" netbook as its just a bit too small and a 15" is too big for my needs :/

pt-
13-04-11, 16:41
buy it then!!!!!!!!!!! i told you :P

Mr Banana

Hmmm maybe what is the graphics chip it uses?

I may just end up getting a 10" netbook and bearing the small screen, just money is a big issue :\

this Asus is amazing, I've got the same one and it is a hell of a lot better than a shoddy netbook, which btw, only girls use.

No one answered my previous question - what graphics chip is it using, what is the max game it could handle?

Does the processor perform better than an Atom chip, as it's clocked a fair amount lower.

Wandering if it is worth the stretch or not.

Does anyone know how well it will work with Ubuntu?

Full specs here:

http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/Superior_Mobility/UL30A/#specifications

It's an intel 4500 GPU. This isn't really set up for gaming, but then no £300 laptop is really.

Not sure about ubuntu, not tried. GIYF.

Mr Banana
15-04-11, 14:28
I know it's not setup for gaming but i'm just wandering what exactly you can do with it.

What's GIYF?

mr banana you can game on older games just not newer ones, would say you would be fine for games that are 4/5 yrs+ old

Thanks sheep mate, think i will give this one a miss, unfortunately i've found a cheaper 12" model preloaded with ubuntu from another tailer.
