Oh yay, we're going to have to be stuck with BR04 on our X58 motherboards. I'm not too fussed, aside the fact that it makes aftermarket cooling one's motherboard a bit difficult depending on the mounting mechanisms.

they are playing coy after all the s*** that went on with them.

nvidia got the info on the cpu they wanted and intel can now throw sli onto their boards win win.

i can see nvidia waiting to see how it pans out before spending money to support the new sockets.

i expect most will go for the 1160 socket so it would make sense if they support that but 1366 is going to be server class products which isnt where nv make their money.

The thing that is of interest that many Manufacturers are not interested in adding the Nvidia bridge chip.

If that is true then SLi as it stands is as good as dead, unless Nvidia allow Sli on any chipset (Intel or AMD)

i bet they come out next week and announce a scaling back in r n d for future boards tho as they become more selective on which boards and sockets they support.
