lol if its got that many errors why not just stop the test as you know its faulty.

Im also testing a motherboard before sending it as a replacement, got a 3850 after this memory, and a shuttle to do... and thats what I have at the moment.. more coming later.
more to the fact, how the hell did that get passed quality control with that many errors !!!

I only stopped using mine jan 07, when I switched to Sky, I had it plugged into a Draytek 2200usb router. The Tadpoles are good for upto 8Mb, but the router was only rated at 512Mb although on my old 2mb I got about 1.25mb so I was happy to keep using the router

Had one guy couldn't get into his unix app, (via a terminal server session) As i was trying to fix it he asked me if his boss had stopped it working, and if it was he was going to the union! :eek:
Most the people i have to talk too just dont understand the basics of how windows work. They dont understand that windows can be maximized and minimized, or even moved behind each other.
I think thats disgraceful, like i said, get a book and fup off!
Ive just had a customer call and tell me he cant get in, his words were
"I cant get in, the computer wont turn on"
"What do you mean sir?"
"Well i went through all the steps one of your colleagues but i still cant do it"
"Is your computer switched on sir"
"Yes"
"So whats the problem sir"
"I cant get out"
"How do you mean?"
"I cant go on the interweb and check my emails or listen to music"
Then i went on to ask him if he uses zonealarm seurity suite, which he has, and microsoft update was causing the problem
Which i had to explain to him step by step, there was no way i was using remote assistance for this fool!
Now he tells me hes not sure if he has zonealarm or avg
Gonna try it in safe mode as his computer is stupidly slow, took ages to load the control panel
Now i have to explain to him how to click on run> type msconfig> click boot.ini and tick the appropriate boxes

i got 5 which is ok i guess :)
well i got a Ford Fiesta for free from ym dads mate which i got like beginning of this year and its been at my dads warehouse ever since so going down to Warrington Wednesday to see what its like etc... and if its ok then ill just use that as i mean no point getting a good car for a new driver as like when someone crash's into you and say your car is wrecked then thats a waste of cash.

Windows, would try reinstalling windows but it's got a recovery partition which needs the admin password :(

I can sympathise.. I had to spend a couple of hours on one today - the power socket and a USB socket had come off because someone pushed something into them too hard.. had to take the entire laptop to bits - like every single component out (stupidly fiddly laptop), remove the motherboard and then resolder everything that had been damaged back onto the motherboard... It was all soldered onto the underside of the motherboard which was even more annoying!
However, I took the opportunity to reseat the cpu/gfx etc, all the heatsinks and redid all the thermal paste and it knocked over 20 degrees off the temps! When I returned it, they commented that the fans seemed quieter!! :lol:

Ive just brung my PS3 back up from the front room as we were using it to watch a blu-ray movie.
As i got it into the light i can see where my mum has used a really ****ty duster on it and scratched the whole top of the PS3. You can see where she has wiped it in one big circle.

Just occurs to me that there are all these people talking about gaming on the forum but I never get to play any games with them.
I think it's only Lynx I ever see on Steam, and nobody uses Xfire far as I can tell. If you got people using an Aria.co.uk server regularly then it would be good advertising.

Steam had a sale after Christmas. Got the Valve Complete Pack for £38. Also got Bioshock for however much it was going for back then. £5 I think.
I'm not really used to online gaming yet though I've always preferred story/campaign mode.
