Cover a huge area and incredibly vast in size. To this day the brickwork is still in very good condition and has certainly stood the test of time. Not many fresh air sources and a heavy dust suspended much of the tunnels - alongwith a very dank rustic smell. Rumour has it old victorian shop fronts may be part of this network from when the original street level was much lower, there are a few out of reach chambers which need further exploration.

The great chamber - and an old bridge with another bricked in bridge built on top to give you an idea of original Victorian street level

Looks creepy. I just saw now that they discovered a WWII plane ditched in the sea just off the Kent coast, southeast England. Nice!

Fenix Rebel Cree torch, uber bright essential as the blackness is absolute.

Took the usual P3 abestos rated mask down there.

Access isn't easy by any means and certainly not for the fainthearted  If you look at the yellow sign many of the "dirt" tags are from 1987. Access to these kind of places are regularly backfilled, concreted over or destroyed many due to building development.

no wellies, you are brave. making a splash down is never fun.

the amount of damp and mould growing their appears a real hazard.

Gotta say that's awesome. I've looked at pictures of things like this/underground tunnels etc and it's really fascinating. I'd love to do it sometime.
