Of course, just because OCZ ****ed up 25nm doesn't mean Intel have - you only have to look at the G3's to know that, they're in fact expected to be more durable than the 34nm drives.

Why is that? The Vertex 3 is faster isn't it. I've heard Intel are more reliable.

I can't decide between the Intel 510 120GB or the Vertex 3 120GB.

There may be others that have better specs.
There may be others that are better value for money.
BUT THERE ARE NONE THAT LOOK AS SLICK AS THESE :D

What is the difference between the Retail & OEM versions of these?
Sorry if this is a stupid question.:)

Also will there be OEM 510's?

edit - Is it just less warranty (1yr) and without the retail packaging?

Yup. OEM almost certainly won't come with a mounting bracket even if the retail packs do (no idea, not seen any of these new intel drives yet).

Pricing is still poor on these given the use of cheaper NAND.

Well it's cheaper in theory, but in practice they have had a lot of issues getting the 25nm NAND to the same levels of stability and reliability as the 32nm process I believe, which is why these drives are much later than anticipated. To give Intel credit, they did at least delay the product launch rather than just rushing out units to meet market demand and then let the consumers deal with the stability problems. I suspect 25nm prices will gradually drop as volume increases.

Aye, I'm just hoping it's down to 'early adopter tax' and the issues in Japan etc. If these could fall within £5 either side of the £100 mark their £:GB rate would be something, coupled with good performance as well.

between Intel 510 and vertex 3, it's definitely vertex 3.
the rest simply can forget about. kingston v100+ or vertex 2 can beat them in price and performance.
