View Full Version : Frequently Asked Questions...? Your opinion counts!
Seeing how we're getting a lot of newbies around here, I'm sure that some of you are getting a bit wound up at seeing the same questions again and again.
To get around that how about having a frequently asked question thread/board?

I was going to make these the other day, one pinned in each section
Can we pin a guide to each section, eg a definition of a cpu and a little like guide to whats the best pick?
Will start work on it as soon as I can :)
:) Might take a while to do tho.

Right guys! Lets get the ball rolling.
Please post any questions that you are fed up with being asked over and over again. Please post the question and the answer so that I can compile a list then get it on the forum!

Or for the micro ATX crowd the Asus P5k-VM, Gigabyte Ga-g33m-ds2r or Msi G33m, all great over clockers and all round good performers

Whats the best power supply?
Best value for money the OCZ Stealth Xstream 600w would get my vote.

I like the hipers, but the group opinion is they are a bit suspect
FAQ should defo have the recommended systems in the new builds (http://forums.aria.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=34)forum, they need a refresh though by now.
if you start to rec porducts they will need to be edited depending on stock too, but you should have products depending on the level of which you want. not everybody want best bang for buck, some just want best.
You may have noticed there are two FAQ threads now on the forum. One is in memory, the other is in Gladiator Systems.
I have closed the threads so that they dont get snowed under with irrelevant posts. I will make any additions when I get more questions submitted.
Thanks to all who have/are helping out with this thread. :)

you could always point it to Tomshardware, who do this listing every month
I think there should be a thread FAQ dedicated to monitors... (checks to see if there is one already....)
Yeah anyway, an FAQ which states the differences between brightnes and contrast rations and response time that you want to look for... not sure how you would word it, hopefully better than me atleast...
Any good?
LETF FORGET ABOUT EVERYTHING OK

CAPS REALLY PI.SS PEOPLE OFF DONT DO IT UNLESS YOU REALLY WANNA ANNOY US. Would you like your ram to come bent in half? Ive had CDs shattered by postage and ive had many letters crumpled, let alone what would happen to ram.
Maybe there could be something in the FAQ about postage. I just looked here (http://www.aria.co.uk/Support/Delivery+Costs)and there is no mention of postal insurance, as jon said here (http://forums.aria.co.uk/showpost.php?p=55502&postcount=21).
Could have sworn I'd read it on one of those pages before... I'll see what I can do
Edit: I cant add anything myself, will email someone who can :)
