I'd image the solar system is pretty low light. ;)

You would be suprised mate, stars would show up quite well assuming the telescope is reasonable that the adapter is plugged into.

I had to use one of these in my final year project at uni - looked nothing like that one though so would never have guessed! Have fun with it!
