My desktop is nearly 2 and a half years old, and I'm looking to update it.
It's socket 775, so I'll just bung in the best processor I have the cash for (it's a 3gHz p4, so no big problem anyway) - likewise for updating RAM. But I think the biggest bottleneck is the graphics.
It has a 6200LE 128mb (and I think 128 shared too) PCI-e card (which now retails on Aria for £14, so not exactly awe-inspiring). I figure this is probably one of the best places to upgrade (other than the RAM).
Could anyone offer some suggestions for maybe 3 sub-£100 cards, a "cheap", "middle" and "best you'll get for that money" card? I'm so un-clued up on graphics it's pathetic.
No preferance on ATI/nVidia.
System is:
3.0ghz P4 "Prescott" (533mhz "rated bus speed 24 multiplier x133 bus speed) 1mb L2
1GB (2x512mb) PC3200 @ 200mhz
Windows XP home.
PCI-express x16
All advice welcomed :)
