Oh, I see what you mean now, I thought you posted that stuff a while back.:S

So its VERY close to the 280gtx performance
also VERY close in performance to the 3870x2
Performs quite well against the 4850, so the question is how much more will it cost?
I think my 7950gx2 will finally be getting an upgrade!!!
And to get 40 fps in Crysis if its less than £150 for the 4870 as i'm guessing its a no brainer!!! The 8800gt now has a true competitor!
As to spending £300-£400 on Nvidias top line I don't think there is ANY reason I would based on the below screenshots
thats how to get your post count up boys and girls :P
its still not a big enough leap in performance for me.
tbh im not as amazed, the performance isnt bad but its not got results i would expect from GDDR5
I will deffo be trading in my HD3870 for a HD4870
Considering the 260 GTX is around £270 its a no
its not a big enough leap in performance for me, if i went to a 4870 i might get 10% increase in fps over my gts but tbh its not worth my money.

I wish some of these sites would be more realistic testing these new cards. Testing these cards on a rig with a Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770 @ 3.20GHz isn't very helpful to the regular plebs like me, surely?
If you were to test cards with a lower powered CPU then the card would become limited by what the CPU can do. Using the highest performing CPU gives a fairer comparison between cards.
